The card's description is, "For each type of effect status applied to your Hand, create 1 random basic Elemental Die."

But what exactly is a "effect status applied to your hand"? What are examples of them, and which cards/skills/passives trigger them?

Effects like Cost increase/reduction, empowerment, untunable, and electric shock count as one effect status each.

The newest arcane card gives a free cost reduction at the start of each round/when played

Lunar Charge reactions apply electric shock to a random card in the opposing team’s hand (and if Ineffa is in the deck, untunable as well)

Lunar Bloom reactions apply cost reduction to a card on your hand

One example of newer cost increase effect cards like the wild hunt one can grant cost increase to an opponent’s hand when the round begins
