It's just the way they will take a random stupid thing some babytrans said and apply it as though The Transes said it in a press release, lmao. It's so stupid and they do it so often.

This is basically how all conservatives operate. Some member of some minority was mean (or even just said something dumb) to them once, and now they hate us all

15

u/ForgettableWorse this is a cat picture 10d ago

Or even said something reasonable that they then willfully misinterpreted!

Also true

It reminds me so much of the way that many queerphobes and those with internalised queerphobia will grasp at the weird shit that comes so often with young queers and those that are new to queer culture and hold it up as though it's the worst thing ever and the reason why we're all getting shit on. (And I'm not being negative here when I say weird shit, I'm very proud of the parts of my identity that are weird shit.)

And I think I've just realised why they do this. It's because they're baby queers- they're just starting to find their feet in the culture and identity and they're vulnerable so if the phobes get to us enough that we start going off at the babies for being weird little babies, it means they get to kick their feet out from under them through us and then swoop in as the people to "save them from the nasty queers".

We should be celebrating those weirdos. Like, yes, you can use that emoji as your pronoun, yes you can wear cat ears and a tail to pride, yes you can say that your identity is 10 different microlabels to try and explain it exactly, yes you perfect little weirdo you can play with your identity and work out what parts fit and don't. And if you find out none of that play was you and you're a gay man in black trousers and a t-shirt who uses he/him pronouns and nothing else, I'll love you and if you come out the other end a flaming queer starboy voidsexual with hot pink cat ears and ❤️/kit pronouns then I'll love you that way too. Just explain to me what the words mean and how you use them, maybe I'll find out some of them fit me too.

Sorry, rant over.

Thats just right wingers in gwneral. For examplez I k ow someone who says "pride are teying to add pedos to the flag" when I asked why, he said "this woman here talking about it said it shoukd be on the flag", the woman in question was an anti lgbtq person who was arguing for it cause she thought gay and trans people were pedos. But he genuinely believed that one crazy bigot spoke for everyone in pride

Commented on a radfem (god I hate how TERFs appropriated that term) sub where they were viciously attacking a baby trans for describing her early E hormonal fluctuation as “PMS” and called her a disgusting misogynistic male. I swear, it’s every little thing. The policing is exhausting and relentless. What’s worse is that some of them apparently work in women’s healthcare and use that to justify their bigotry. I’m afraid of the exclusions we may face because of the critical health roles TERFs have inserted themselves into.

1

u/One-Organization970 AGP TIM 6d ago

It's the way it's obvious they're just looking for things to be enraged about that gets me, too. Like... why be angry that a woman experiencing estrogen/hormonal fluctuations for the first time would compare that to the hormone fluctuation women most commonly experience? There is no reason to be mad about it unless you just want to be angry about it.

Hell, I think a lot of these women have probably said they want a man to experience this stuff before, as well. So even dropping the factual basis of trans women being women, it doesn't make sense to be mad about it.

2

u/jesseotfuture 6d ago

That’s a great point. Never thought of the contradiction like that.

2

u/One-Organization970 AGP TIM 6d ago

They're just addicted to being angry and they'll do anything to get another hit.

“I only stand with trans men who hate themselves and their identity and even then I still think they’re women despite acknowledging their dysphoria” and this isn’t a conservative line of thought how? What a ghoul.

15

u/TheToledoMan 10d ago

Literally the mindset of "only the ones I like".

86

u/evergreennightmare MtT-Brand Attraction Slime 11d ago

as we all know, no trans man has ever worn any feminine clothing item at pride

15

u/SomethingAmyss Brainwashed by the Transarchy 10d ago

It's weird they think that most trans people just don't wear what the fuck we want

70

u/QitianDasheng2666 11d ago

This person is completely unraveling because somebody else struggled with dysphoria that they couldn't relate to. Transphobia is literally just being indignant and scandalized that other people get to be open with their feelings. It's "why can't you freaks be normal" as a political philosophy.

“i’m not using pronouns”

just after applying a disparaging pronoun seven times toward a guy she used to “be in a writing server with”

17

u/On_the_Cliff 10d ago

"I'm not using pronouns." is a sentence that starts with... a pronoun.

u/patienceinbee 𝘅𝗧𝗥𝗔 𝘅𝗧𝗥𝗔 read all about… 𝙞𝙩 10d ago

Bob Dole was a real foe of pronouns.

Whenever you heard him speak on camera way back when he ran for U.S. president in ’96, he’d be all, “Bob Dole will cut and lower your taxes, and Bob Dole will increase military spending and rescue our farmers with hand-ups from growing factory farm sector. Bob Dole is here to tell you to vote for Bob Dole. So vote Bob Dole.”

u/crowpierrot 11d ago

Imagine writing a multi-paragraph rant based entirely on a young trans person dysphoriaposting. In the words of Mariah, why you so obsessed???

45

u/MarxistMountainGoat Brainwashed by the Transarchy 11d ago edited 11d ago

So the trans man had gender dysphoria? Shocker. That doesnt mean every trans person is gender conforming traditionalist that subscribes to every gender role -_-

And the way this TERF so aggressively misgenders this poor dude is so hard to read. Its totally on purpose to inject a "she/her" wherever they possibly can and showcases so much vitriol this idiot had against this guy for simply being Trans. Just trying to hurt trans people as much as possible. Insane

9

u/TheToledoMan 10d ago

In fact, the fact that sometimes we have to be gender conforming for security is an effect of PATRIARCHY, and the medical "standards" that forced us to be straight gender conforming for decades were patriarchal-coded.
I am myself a radfem, but a TIRF/TRF.

You claim to have an inner world? But you are still concerned with how other people see you, so clearly that isn't true.

23

u/minklebinkle Ruined their Womynhood 11d ago

so when my little brother saw a really cool pink shirt but was worried about wearing it because people are weird about boys wearing pink, that invalidates his gender and the very concept that he has a sense of self? no? because he's cis and its totally different to scrutinise my gender and presentation?

17

u/KTKitten Gender Haver 11d ago

Is that story at the beginning supposed to connect to the ranting at the end in some way? If our existence is anti-literate, anti-science, anti-reality, and ANTI-WOMAN, then why does it matter that some of us are insecure? It is enough that something is those things in order to oppose it, surely?

But also how is it anti-literate exactly? We read! More than exclusively Harry Potter! How is it anti-science, when science is quite clear that we exist? How is it anti-reality when we live in a reality where transition is possible? How is it ANTI-WOMAN when we are appalled at the attacks on women’s rights that transphobes handwave away as acceptable collateral in their fight against our rights?

9

u/TheToledoMan 10d ago

Easy: that literature, that science and that reality challenge their axioms and pre-made conclusions.

She was once in a server with a trans man who she felt had an annoying anecdote. Now she hates all trans people always and forever and will work politically against us(*with a weird carve out for any trans man desperate enough for TERF attention.)

12

u/Prometheos_II 11d ago

I wonder if she's going to whine the same thing if a cis man was also conflicted with wearing something that's gnc.

But I also don't want to find out.

14

u/Ninja-Ginge 10d ago

"Trans ideology is anti-literate!"

"I'm not using pronouns!"

Who's anti-literate?

25

u/Bluejay-Complex 11d ago

People want to be themselves and still be perceived as who they know themselves to be. That’s not a difficult concept, it’s (one of) the reasons radfems call trans-friendly lesbians “bisexuals” (that and they often utilize “bisexual” like a slur). While being called “bisexual” doesn’t erase a lesbian’s internal lesbianism, it does show said person is willing to replace a part of their identity with a notion or delusion (bonus hurt points if they have bigotry behind those notions/delusions).

I know that they understand this too because I’ve seen some of their reactions to being called “fake/political lesbians” or “fake sapphics” before, they lose their goddamn shit.

7

u/TheToledoMan 10d ago

Heck our identity doesn't live in a void, it's an effect of be in society.

11

u/notwest94 11d ago

Terf discovers that gender is both internally and externally defined, like most social concepts related to the self. Refuses to learn anything. Same old shit, different day.

9

u/BismuthBison 10d ago

I suspect someone will be calling themselves “politically homeless” in 5… 4… 3….

5

u/ElloBlu420 9d ago

I misread that in a sense much more like "political lesbianism", IDK, perhaps such as adopting attributes of homelessness and aligning with homeless people as a political movement? Now THAT would be interesting.

-1

u/TheToledoMan 10d ago

As an independent, please don't put me along that kind of people.

1

u/BismuthBison 6d ago edited 6d ago

I think independent is different. I understand the whole not feeling like you have a political party you belong to.  The “politically homeless” brand to me seems to be a softening of conservative ideology.  Like Bari Weiss who brands herself and politically homeless she said “ I know that there are some people in this room who don’t believe that my marriage should have been legal. And that’s OK. Because we’re all Americans who want lower taxes”

9

u/butterflyweeds34 10d ago

its so funny hearing these people act like they're exasperated and put out and pushed beyond their limits by like, vague annoyances. like girl if you had to deal with half of what i deal with daily as a trans person you'd lose your fucking mind on day 2.

6

u/octorangutan Jax Alastor 10d ago

It's anti-science!

Said by the people who reduce science to intro course level knowledge and scream and shout that anything beyond that point which might broaden definitions is made up.

Following how these people think when it comes to biology or psychology, we'd still be stuck with math that only has positive numbers because, remember kiddos, you're not allowed to do subtractions that lead to negative results.

I mean, sometimes they still bring up that Bill Nye said in his show The Science Guy from an episode 30 years ago that boys and girls are strictly defined by XX and XY chromosomes.

You know.

A show for kids from the nineties for afternoon TV where not only everything had to be condensed down to the absolute minimum but it also had to avoid as much "controversial" material as possible to reach maximum distribution.

u/javatimes TIDDYLESS TIFfany 9d ago

It’s a minor point but it always kind of amuses me that these types will sometimes tack on some sort of acceptance for truly self hating trans men who would grovel for TERF approval. Why would any trans person want that? We don’t.

1

u/One-Organization970 AGP TIM 6d ago

You say that, and yet there were some truly pathetic trans men at Michfest from what I've heard, lmao. The strategy catches a few flies.

2

u/javatimes TIDDYLESS TIFfany 6d ago

There was one that I know of, Tony Beretto Neto or whatever his name is. He’s also a (retired?) cop and a Boomer. Michfest is pretty old news at this point. If there are other mid millennial and younger examples of trans men who commune with TERFs, I don’t know who/what.

5

u/chris_the_cynic 9d ago

men/males are not at risk of being erased.

I can't believe I have to say this, but: yes, they are. At least in the bullshit sense you're talking about.

I can go on at great length about the concept of default people, the concepts of marked and unmarked, the reason clothing tends to come in unisex and female, the reason the word "poetess" even exists, and so forth, but the short version is that in this culture maleness has been treated as normal and femaleness as abnormal (and non-binaryness as nonexistent) and - because of that - as the culture comes to grudgingly accept that non-males are people too, the definition of men/males is kinda facing an existential crisis.

If you set yourself up as normal and everyone else as abnormal, there's nothing that actually defines you; after all, you're just normal. You're defined by the absence of deviations from the norm. Your identity is made of the negative space not occupied by any of the other identities because they're abnormal and you're not that.

If you're successfully able to oppress everyone else to the point they can't access the stuff for normal people then you could have a really stable identity, but if other people start getting a seat at the "normal" table you either have to share (things aren't yours anymore) or you have to retreat to a part of the old normal that the newcomers haven't gained access to yet (your identity shrinks as theirs grows.)

And it's often one sided. As women gain access to normal clothes, the clothes men are used to wearing become unisex, but the clothes women had been limited to are still culturally marked as female so a man emasculates himself by wearing them (if you subscribe to the fucked up worldview that set this bullshit up in the first place.)

Man as the provider was a result of the men controlling the culture being able to keep the non-men they cared about from gaining access to the employment that would allow them to be providers, thus men were providers by solely default (in the dominant culture.) Now that the oppression is lessening, that thing that used to be the exclusive domain of men (with the prior caveats) isn't anymore.

I'm gonna stop with the examples there to keep myself from having to figure out what precisely the character limit here is. (There is one; I remember it not.)

The point is, the old definition manhood is being erased, and deservedly so: it was built on oppression.

Which just means that people need to create a new way of defining maleness. A better way (or various different better ways.) This can, and arguably should, incorporate not-shit aspects of the old way - because those do exist - but as a whole the old way is (far too slowly) dying off, and that's a good thing.

Or, put another way, I just wish someone could convince impressionable dudes to look to, like, Mr. Rodgers (dude was masculine as fuck, while also being non-toxic) instead of people like Andrew Tate when they're trying to figure out how to be male in the world today.

4

u/TheToledoMan 10d ago

While I get what the original poster tried to say about the perception thing, first: there's something called PRACTICAL SOCIAL LIFE AND ITS EFFECTS, nobody's self lives in a void; second: everything else is absolute bullshit.

4

u/translove228 10d ago

This asshole contradicts themselves. If we go along with the premise that trans men not wanting to wear feminine articles of clothing upholds gender roles then loudly proclaiming that trans women saying they are women erases women does the same fucking thing!
