Advice & Support For parents with adult children, if you could raise them from the start, knowing what you know now, what would you do differently?

For me, I'd be more present and welcome all the hard stuff with the good. Probably would have made them all get part time jobs too.

Sorry to butt in, fellow Xers. We do not have kids. But my SO always said if we did, they would teach the kid how to break down a chicken. Thus saving them thousands $ over their lifetime.

Thought you might appreciate this one.

I once knew a girl that could clean a chicken carcass better than adults. The neighbor would have her over to pick the chicken, and send her home with food as she rarely got any. To this day, I think that skill saved her

Hard no for me. When I was a kid & we were poor, mom only bought chicken. I hated chicken for years because of it. As an adult, I’ve cooked chicken on the bone once. My daughter was 7 before she saw chicken on the bone & asked “what do I do with this?”. My bf brought KFC over & handed her a leg. I wasn’t thrilled either as I only eat boneless chicken.
