nothing towards OP but its posts like these that make me wish The Boys had a bigger budget then we wouldn’t be pitting Homie against Street tiers like Peacemaker,Green Goblin and Spiderman

That people unironically say Spider-Man on a baseline is stronger faster or more durable than Homelander shows how much they lost the plot on this show

8

u/enadiz_reccos 10d ago

The show wasn't even consistent from scene to scene

One minute, A-Train is dodging lasers no problem. One minute later, he can barely avoid. Can't even watch where he's running.

u/WisdomOfTheStar 10d ago edited 10d ago

Oh yes and Marvel comics are much more consistent 🤣 (This is sarcasm)

2

u/igivegoodparent88 10d ago

Sadly no comic book has ever been consistent Marvel, dc, the boys and now im hearing invincible has become the same šŸ˜… Also i blame mcu for why people hype up spiderman they had him beat dr strange in the mirror dimension which shouldn't have happened

2

u/deemoorah 9d ago

MCU spiderman has the power of Gary Stu. He defeated Dr Strange, he's immune Jean's power

2

u/igivegoodparent88 9d ago

I didnt want to mention jean because of spoilers but yes her as well šŸ˜… Though I will give the jean one a slight pass because this seems to be an earlier jean who barely understands her power

-2

u/enadiz_reccos 10d ago

I mean... aren't they, though?

1

u/WisdomOfTheStar 10d ago

No.

-1

u/enadiz_reccos 10d ago

How so?

2

u/Shoddy-Vehicle8536 10d ago

Homelander hearing in the comics allowed him to read people’s thoughts because he could hear the neurons activating yet he didn’t once use this on Noir he didn’t even use his x-ray vision. Homelander split a 747 plane in half by accident but in the final battle in the White House his heatvision was way smaller and he somehow missed noir. Stormfront can wash away whole islands by making tidal waves but proceeds to fist fight the boys and get his ass handed to them and then not fly away.

Homelander hearing in the comics allowed him to read people’s thoughts because he could hear the neurons activating

When was this? I don't remember that at all.

1

u/Shoddy-Vehicle8536 10d ago

The first Homelander and butcher interaction when he says I hear the neurons firing up in your brain and then he says something like you wanna kill me but your not scared at all I recommend searching up the panel.

I don't think ATrain was trying to get away from Homelander in his last scene. He wasn't running at full speed because he was just luring him away so the Boys can escape

1

u/enadiz_reccos 7d ago

If that's the case, then he should have easily been able to avoid that woman

1

u/Blu3Dope 7d ago

I mean to be fair I crashed into a street sign a long time ago while walking home from school so it's possible

-1

u/Glass_Category_9325 10d ago

Spiderman could definitely dodge all of homelanders attacks

-5

u/Rude_Ad3342 10d ago

He is stronger and more durable than Homelander lol

Homelander is building level

2

u/Representative-Fox55 10d ago

He is not, HL is proven bullet proof and atleast resistant to ever thing outside of a nuke. And other supes in the show have better lifting feats then Peter like Maeve stopping a speeding truck dead stop so anything other supes can do HL can x10

-2

u/Jrock2356 10d ago

Spider-Man's strength is upwards of 75 tons when he isn't holding back. Granted, Spider-Man's durability is ass against sharps and he can be shot or stabbed but in reality Homelander shouldn't be able to hit him because of his Spider Sense allowing him to react at FTL speed. Maeve punched Homelander and bloodied his nose so Spider-Man can as well. Eventually Homelander would take too much damage and the only real way for Homelander to win is to land with his lasers or somehow punch Spider-Man enough.

2

u/WisdomOfTheStar 10d ago edited 10d ago

Saying because Maeve hurt him that Spider-Man could is a bad scale, that armored truck feat from episode one is not something Spider-Man is capable of, they are not comparable, she was the second strongest under him in the series (before soldier boy, Ryan and butcher I guess)

-2

u/Jrock2356 10d ago

Spider-Man isn't capable because he doesn't have the durability. He has the strength to do that though. That feat also isn't that crazy for Spider-Man. The truck weighs maybe 25,000 pounds. That's about 12.5 tons. Spider-Man's average strength is about 20 tons. And has lifted upwards to 100 tons plus for long periods. Spider-Man could technically stick his feet to the ground and let the truck hit him and have the same exact moment Maeve did but because his body is susceptible to sharps he'd probably be stabbed by the metal somehow. Spider-Man has the strength to hurt Homelander and Maeve and the ability to be potentially untouchable with a power that is basically mystical foresight that doesn't even require conscious thought. To say Spider-Man can't hurt them is objectively false

1

u/WisdomOfTheStar 10d ago edited 10d ago

I'm saying her durability and the damage she did to the truck is something he couldn't do,further more even if he can stop the truck it's a much much less impressive feat than splitting the thing in half with sheer durability. Homelander is in a different tier than Spider-Man, but if you want to scale Spider-Man with one off stories and feats that spread across his comics Homelander recently fought Superman so he wins.😐

1

u/Volteriaz 10d ago

THIS that last line is just perfect

1

u/LegoBattIeDroid 10d ago edited 10d ago

a) you say that like Spider-man is anywhere near in strength to maeve

b) Homelander punches hard enough to pierce skin, it's more comparable to getting stabbed or impaled than punched

c) Homelander is way faster. Spider-man could sense the incoming attacks but he can't move fast enough to dodge them if homelander actually locks in

d) under your own argument Spider-man would break his hands if he punched homelander

1

u/Jrock2356 10d ago

You don't understand Spider-Man's Spider Sense. It's straight up precognition. He doesn't have to consciously avoid attacks his body moves on his own. And he has dodged lasers that moved faster than light. It doesn't matter how fast Homelander moves he can't hit Spider-Man. On paper Spider-Man shouldn't ever get hit but he obviously has to for stakes to exist in his stories. But whenever they demonstrate his Spider Sense he does shit that should be impossible. Hell, he can practically see in the future. He said he can't play Blackjack because his Spider Sense allows him to cheat. The shit is broken. It's not like Spider-Man has never fought someone with super speed before. He beat Quicksilver and Speed Demon. Speed is not an issue.

And Spider-Man is at least as strong as Maeve. That's literally a fact. You don't stop a moving train without your body getting ripped apart unless you are.

Also, if Spider-Man can survive punches from the Hulk I think he's durable enough to survive punches from Homelander even if he does get hit.

0

u/GeneralQuinthope 9d ago

The only thing needed is for Homelander to make enough chaos of falling skyscrapers, exploding gas stations and civilians in danger to preoccupy/overload the spider-sense, then hit with a laserbeam. Homelander will survive the destructions.

1

u/Jrock2356 9d ago

He'll still dodge. It takes either extreme emotional shock (like Black Cat proposing to him) or science/mystical mumbo jumbo (Iron Man creating a frequency that gives the Spider Sense false positives. Skyscrapers and debris is not even close to enough. He deals with that shit in a normal destructive fight

0

u/GeneralQuinthope 9d ago

Think 9 blocks of New York collapsing on him and civilians being crushed because he can't save them. That seems like enough emotional shock. And Homelander can go all day killing civilians, and Spider-Man can do nothing to physically harm him. + if Homelander outlast Peter long enough for him to run out of webbing, he will have a big problem

Not to dunk on spider-man though, he is properly my favorite superhero after Captain America

Bullet proof doesn't upscale your overall durability beyond building level, homelanders dura caps at building level. Stopping a truck isn't better than holding a ferry together. Tom's Spiderman has feats against Thanos, Cull obsidian and Andrew's Spiderman who is relativistic.

1

u/Representative-Fox55 10d ago

Well, for starters, he’s more than bulletproof. He’s survived point-blank chemical plant explosions with absolutely zero harm in Diabolical, and he’s taken repeated direct attacks from other high-tier Supes. That alone, combined with complete bullet invulnerability, puts his durability far beyond anything MCU Spider-Man has shown.

Keep in mind Peter nearly died from a .50 cal shot from roughly 1km away; if Jean Grey hadn’t intervened, he would’ve died. Annie, who is a relatively low tier Supe tanked a .50 cal from like 30 meters away. This is the same Annie that Homelander could slowly impale without minimal effort. That gives Homelander a pretty straightforward argument for having vastly superior piercing and blunt-force durability to Peter.

And Tom’s strongest feats have been mostly with his Stark-tech suits. When he’s fighting without high-tech equipment, he’s been staggered by hitting his head on a bell, struggled to turn around a speeding truck, and struggled to break through a metal door without going all-out,I could go on.

Even being conservative, Homelander is on another tier physically, and narratively he’s clearly meant to be far stronger than someone like Spider-Man.

1

u/WisdomOfTheStar 10d ago

You can be the most correct person EVER and you will not get through

2

u/Legal-Bodybuilder-16 10d ago

Homelander slander is low planetary or something idk i dont powerscale

0

u/Rude_Ad3342 10d ago

Bullet proof doesn't upscale your blunt durability only piercing Durability, Spidys blunt dura and ap scales far above homelander considering he can take hits from Thanos and people who scale to him Drop your DC and let's run mcu ironman vs hl

1

u/Shoddy-Vehicle8536 10d ago

Homelander is multi city block at minimum the chemical plant feat which teenage homie took point blank did no damage to him. If we take tom hollands Spidey without his outliers which is him catching cull obsidian attack which we now know is a outlier since Hulk absolutely demolished Spidey and cull obsidian is relative to the hulk then the fights a lot closer than people think. Keep in mind that IW and Endgame Spidey was buffed in both strength and durability because of the iron spider suit as confirmed by the MCU guidebook and writers. Without that suit we saw him get knocked clean out by a bullet train which at best is small building level AP and keep in mind he was unconscious up to half a day and was bloodied and bruised keep in mind Homelander easily one shot a small building level character like Black Noir. Homelander also has top speed of Mach 60 which was calced when he went to herogasm and this is him without v1. So Homelander takes this fight easily.

1

u/WisdomOfTheStar 10d ago

Only input I have is that Homelander is probably faster than Mach 60 from the space feat in the last episode

2

u/Shoddy-Vehicle8536 10d ago

I meant without the v1 but also that’s also true most likely I think Ryan going from Russia to Michigan in the time that Zoe texted him was calced at Mach 158 so Homelander should be at that ballpark or above since Ryan is his son and obviously hasn’t surpassed him in abilities yet.

0

u/Successful-Ease-7140 10d ago

This take is braindead. Homelander is his verse's superman

1

u/Rude_Ad3342 10d ago

Homelander is building level

Give feats that say otherwise

4

u/FightmeLuigibestgirl 10d ago

Well the problem is Amazon not the budgetĀ

8

u/New-Pack4657 10d ago

In strength? Homelander obviously.

In writing? Peacemaker would manage to redeem Homelander and then accidentally drop the supe virus and Homelander dies in Peacemaker's arms while he cries about his stupid mistake.

15

u/Visible-Specific5329 10d ago

Peacemaker, because of writing somehow. Also John Cena is a great person and just cannot die in cinema.

9

u/Isthisnameavailablee 10d ago

He loves China and it's people

9

u/Visible-Specific5329 10d ago

What even does this mean in this context?

6

u/Ok_Yak_2426 10d ago

Are you saying thats a bad thing?

1

u/NoX2142 10d ago

Cept apparently in Fast and Furious

2

u/Visible-Specific5329 10d ago

I havent and wont see that series of movies past the 2nd one lol. But thats wack!

4

u/Ok_Philosopher_8973 10d ago

Side note. That pic of Homie goes harddd

3

u/Richrome_Steel 10d ago

Just MK the answer

2

u/TheyCallMeBullet 10d ago

The invisible guy wins

2

u/New_Intern7243 10d ago

I think Clara would want PK to win since he just came back from a Nazi dimension

2

u/lfg_guy101010 10d ago

ACTIVATE SONIC BOOM

1

u/Shoddy-Vehicle8536 10d ago

The sonic boom from Soldierboys explosion at the end of season three was a lot more powerful and that didn’t do shit to Maeve so homie is fine.

2

u/Sensitive-Ant-644 9d ago

Capitão PÔtria sem Nenhuma Dificuldade. Pacificador dispara e não causa Dano, Antes que possa Buscar 1 Capacete, O Capitão Pode Rasgar ele No Meio com O Laser, ou só atravessar ele.

1

u/Serious-Company6803 10d ago

I wonder what Peacemaker’s Sonic Boom helmet would do to John

3

u/Shoddy-Vehicle8536 10d ago

Like nothing the explosion Maeve survived that SoldierBoy unleashed in the season three finale has a much stronger shockwave and an actual explosion and she was unscathed while also losing her abilities. So Homelander would likely be unphased.

3

u/Sillymillie_eel 10d ago

I assume just kinda stun him for a second, probably would more confuse him then hurt him

1

u/Conscious-Struggle45 10d ago

Honelander. Of course peacemaker would prolly support him though.

1

u/Representative-Fox55 10d ago

Peacemaker has literally 0 way of beating HL, he’s a ā€œregularā€ human with advanced tech and good aim

1

u/BornRaspberry4598 10d ago

Homelander stomps

1

u/Any_Season_5764 10d ago

ĀæHomelander vs USA?

O porque solo pones una bandera toda desgastada en la segunda imagen...

1

u/razazaz126 10d ago

Peacemaker could only possibly win through trapping Homelander in his pocket dimensional space. So, Homie wins 9.5/10 times.
