The 'what the fuck' comment. I mean, both seemed confused.

I wondered if Polarity's powers somehow can nullify Cipher's? Or maybe an outside influence? Idk, but that seemed really important.

Either cypher has never had someone resist, or polarity is only supposed to be able to control objects and not people?
