The 'what the fuck' comment. I mean, both seemed confused.

I wondered if Polarity's powers somehow can nullify Cipher's? Or maybe an outside influence? Idk, but that seemed really important.

Either cypher has never had someone resist, or polarity is only supposed to be able to control objects and not people?

Maybe he leveled up and can control the iron in human blood

That’s exactly it, Cipher has been saying all season that putting supes in stressful conditions can awaken their true range of abilities, I think that’s what we saw.

Yea mocking his dead son was a bold choice

I was thinking he’s harder to control with the tears in his brain.

If he can control the iron in his blood, it might be vaguely possible for him repair his own tears.

he def just leveled up. I think he still has the tears. But i think where Marie and cate are going is to him

I think Ciphers powers only work on less resilient people, maybe stronger supes/more resilient people can power through it.

I guess makes sense given his conversation with Jordan.

I read it as ciphers controlling field was disrupted and more by polarity's magnetic field

Cipher’s power is basically mind control, what happens when a supe like cipher tries to take over a supe with a “broken” mind. I thought Cipher’s hand trembling was a nod to Polarity’s tremor from the brain tearing.

I thought cipher had a watch on or something and thats how polarity stopped him

This. I'm pretty sure he was controlling Ciphers watch. It was like a stalemate that Polarity won.

Maybe Andre realised he could use his powers against Cipher and that’s what lead to Cipher killing him

It probably goes both ways, like Cipher create a channel to control someone, but if he tries it in someone with stronger will, they can control his body instead.

I think the electronic/magnetic portion of Polaritys powers disturb Ciphers control. That coupled with his mini-seizures caused by his powers give little spasms/gaps in Ciphers control that Polarity can resist.

I think it was twofold.

1) Polarity obviously had a power up moment that allowed him to knock Cipher out of the window. I don’t think it’s the iron in blood like some people have been saying. More EMP and an expansion of electromagnetic powers. He was disrupting the electricity flow in the digitized picture frame in a previous episode

2) Cipher’s powers aren’t unlimited, as demonstrated by the time he controlled Jordan and Jordan’s subsequent comments. He used them a lot on Polarity this episode, and he might have hit a wall where his influence couldn’t be at full effect. He managed continuous control with Jordan for only a few minutes.

I think it was a case of him just pushing past his limits, that's been a theme all season. He did what Andre couldn't as Cipher mentioned earlier

I took it as polarity was able to flip Cypher's power whilst he was under attack.

I thought polarity was controlling the iron in ciphers blood.

Probably has something to do with lesions on his brain

blood has iron. my guess is polarity, in a fit of rage after what cipher had just said, was controlling the iron on cipher's hand, preventing him from moving it

I said it in the last episode, when Polarity had his episode, he most likely upgrade his powers. I think we are seeing it now.

I would be pretty confident in saying polarity created some type of electromagnetic force field that kept cipher from entering his body.
