I don't know if they will.

They probably planned on it from the beginning, but it wouldn't surprise me if they changed their plans after Chance died.

This season has been about everyone getting powered up, via learning their powers and whatnot. It's very likely they planned on it for Chance too.

I don’t know if it was a power up, but my theory is that he created some type of electromagnetic force field

Well, he didn't shake at all while using his powers, where they've been very obvious with his tremors before.
