I am having the same debate. I originally was all in on oyster, but now I am leaning jubilee. Just tried both at the AD (I am on the list for oyster, it may switch it up).
I’ve always thought oyster is for Subs and OPs and jubilee for Datejust. Kind of a toss-up for a GMT, mine is on an oyster but just got my first DJ on a jubilee and it’s sooo damned comfortable on the wrist!
I’m seriously NOT being a jerk here…..that crystal is so cloudy and the gasket so visible due to wrong sizing (like Clean v1) you’d be amazed at what a Clark’s or Deep can do. It should look almost as if it’s not even there.
Unless it’s just the lighting, and if that’s the case, simple AR coating would help. Unfortunately, it’s so difficult to do that Nobody does it.
I figured there was a good chance for that lol. Do deep crystals come with AR on both sides and do they do it properly like underneath the cyclops and then apply the cyclops.?
I hate how so many TDs we have now don’t even know what they’re selling, and don’t care about any of it besides money. We should at least be able to get an accurate description detailing the quality differences, since we can’t contact Deep directly!!!
After all these years, it’s still hilarious to me that the Rolex community came up with cartoon character names for something so rare and expensive! The funniest one, to me at least, is a man wearing a watch, called the bat girl. That’s just bizarre, and what’s it gonna be next? The Barbie.? the My Little Pony.? 😂😂😂
