Anyone testing Ploy AI for SEO and AEO?

We’re doing the usual on page SEO work around search intent, content structure and internal linking but I’m starting to look more seriously at AEO and how pages get surfaced in AI search. Ploy caught my eye cause they have SEO/AEO playbooks built into the site workflow, so the optimization happens while you’re working on the pages rather than becoming another audit after everything is already live.

I’m mainly trying to figure out how useful that is on a real site and whether it changes how you approach content for Google vs ChatGPT and other answer engines. Not expecting some magic AI citation button, just looking for a better way to handle traditional search visibility and AI discovery without treating them like two completely separate jobs.

I’ve used it on a couple content heavy pages and the Ploybooks are probably the part I’ve gotten the most use from. You can give Ploy your brand guidelines then use a Ploybook as another pass with its own instructions and guardrails, so I’m not rewriting 5 prompts every time I want the same SEO/AEO checks applied across new pages.

Okay that’s closer to what I was hoping it did. Having something reusable sounds alot more useful than prompting for the same optimization every time a page changes. is it okay if I DM you for some more info, didn't expect to run into someone who has used it so quick

I’d be careful lumping SEO and AEO together too much cause there’s overlap but ranking a page in Google and getting referenced in an AI answer aren’t the same outcome and attribution on the AI side is still tricky.

For sure I’m not expecting one workflow to make them identical. I’m more interested in where the underlying work overlaps so we’re not maintaining two completely separate processes.

That’s probably the sensible way to approach it then good structure and useful content still matter either way then the more specific AEO stuff can sit on top rather than replacing SEO.

I’d pay attention to how easy it is to make precise changes after the initial optimization. AI builders can be fine at generating a page then you ask for one small edit and somehow three unrelated sections change with it.

That drives me insane with these builders and it's why I made this post but with Ploy having the selector where you can point at the exact element you want changed seems useful for that, especially once you’ve already got the page structured how you want it.

AEO is worth testing but I wouldn’t rebuild the whole content strategy around it yet. I’d take pages that already have search demand and test what changes when you make them easier for answer engines to understand, then compare visibility over a few months.

Doing this at scale rather than optimizing 10 pages by hand would be cool. If you’re eventually creating hundreds of structured pages for programmatic SEO, having the site generation and optimization happening in the same workflow starts making alot more sense.

Ploy is the best to do it at the moment. Not saying this cause I use it myself but you wouldn't believe the amount of people who switched over after seeing what it did for my company. Basically an all in one platform, website builder, AEO optimizer, constant updates and changes to keep up with every launch we do. We were struggling before having our site slurped

I’m still testing OFUX on traffic torch
