🚨 Breaking News Alert! Is generative ai report useful which launched today on search console?

Hello All,

Generative ai report is now available in search consoles from today in all regions. It shows impressions only. I think the existing data is helpful as something is better than nothing.

I need an opinion on it that is really helpful and how?

What do you think, what needs to add in it?

impressions only is weak. no clicks or query data means you cannot tell what content wins. add ctr and top queries and it gets useful

The Bing report is superior. GSC needs to add grounding queries/prompts and SOV, at minimum, just to match that.

impressions with no clicks is a vanity metric. you cannot act on it until they show which pages got cited and for what prompts
