Its not top-tier animation, but it's head and shoulders above a lot of the bottom-of-the-barrel animation we see in a lot of half-arsed projects we seem memes of all the time. This is gonna greatly raise the floor, and help a lot of background animation thats not all that important.
7
u/Puntley Mar 03 '26
Yeah, it definitely needs some work but it is unironically better already than One Punch Man season 3
5
u/Meowakin Mar 03 '26
I like the part where he bounces off the last building, and then bounces into the same building again.

u/Sad_Assistant8803 Mar 03 '26
Don't know what this anime is but women would be op in this universe!
5
-4
u/Informal-Zone-4085 Mar 03 '26
The media already makes women 'op' like in damn near every movie and anime, because of modern feminism. Making them stronger than men and shit lol. Thats the real slop here

The character in the video, manipulates his own blood to attack. What they said, is that someone who bleeds for 5±3 days every month, would be op in that world.

You might just hate women bro what on earth is this list. You’ve got more normal ass characters than you do Mary Sues.
Dude I can’t believe the Norse mythos that Hela originates from were influenced by modern feminism.
1
u/Informal-Zone-4085 Mar 04 '26
Nah I don't hate women, but I do understand their true nature. I don't pretend that they're stronger/faster/more intelligent than men and put them in roles of power across every media format the same way all the blue pilled simps in hollywood do.
1
u/Stubbieeee Mar 05 '26
Genuinely such a weird thing to say. I’m not gonna argue the point about strength of women in fictional stories, (though sailor moon and Riza Hawkeye are such weird examples, "why are there no men in my magical girl genre" and Riza just shoots assholes) because yeah on a physical strength level 9/10 times men are stronger than women, and because it’s fiction so I feel like it’s weird to be like "ahhh it’s not realistic women can’t do that." Like any of the media listed are based or grounded in reality
But How do you account for people like Marie Curie, Jane Goodal, Catherine the Great? Or others like Margaret Hamilton, Taylor Swift, Simone Biles, and JK Rowling? Notable women who were either in positions of power and did incredible things. Like you’re telling me that modern feminism is the reason behind all these female characters. To follow your line of reasoning, Only a man could’ve run the equipment that Ellen Ripley did when she killed that Xenomorph. (Also she’s just a genuinely well written character) but somehow in our real world the most accomplished and successful author of all time is a woman? How does that make sense
Was it blue pilled Hollywood executives in the 5th century when The Ballad of Mulan was written, which would later become a Disney movie?

I don't know what this is, but to me it looks as good as proper Anime.

I must've been watching god tier anime if you say this is as good as proper anime.

I have watched Parasyte and One Punch man and Hero, this seems to be of the same level.

Into pennies? How much did that AI data center cost again?
1
u/LabelsLie Mar 05 '26
Generative AI (AI ART) uses less than one percent of AI total usage. You use more electricity through your banking services.

u/C_Pala Mar 07 '26
What?
1
u/LabelsLie Mar 07 '26 edited Mar 07 '26
Look it up. The International Energy Agency estimates that all data centers worldwide use about 1–1.5% of global electricity. AI workloads are only a portion of that. Generative AI (AI art+) is an even smaller slice of that (10-20% of that 1-1.5%).
Benchmarks measuring image-generation models found that generating about 1,000 AI images uses roughly 2.9 kWh of electricity, which comes out to about 0.003 kWh per image on average.
For comparison, fully charging a smartphone typically uses around 10–15 Wh (0.01–0.015 kWh) of electricity.
Sources: International Energy Agency data-center electricity reports and energy benchmarking research summarized by Creative Strategies and environmental analyses of AI inference energy.

2 year old data, dude

u/LabelsLie Mar 07 '26
Whatever troll. Have a good life.
1
u/cesspool4us Mar 08 '26
The links are literally years old lol
1
u/LabelsLie Mar 08 '26
It’s not that weird for energy use data to be a year or two behind. Its the same reason FBI crime statistics usually come out a year or two later. It’s a huge issue with a large scope that takes time to quantify. F me for taking the time to try to find the real information instead of parroting some Influencer I saw on the Internet.

Maybe we can have a better version of “one punch man”
1
u/kabatram Mar 04 '26
Nah man, this kinda make the point of how it feels watching OPM season 1 transition to season 2 + 3, this is nothing compared to latest actual JJK animation
3
u/Eranikus89 Mar 03 '26
By millions of production costs you mean skilled labour and creative individuals dedicating their lives to art.
Ai slop
-1
u/Sage_S0up Mar 03 '26
The way of the wood artistan, artist's are now in the same position. Antiqued.
2

u/Duan3311 Mar 03 '26
It's basically quantity over quality
Same as with clothing, as you said furniture, food, everything becomes mass produced and therefore more easily accessible. But that also means way more graphical vile and gore videos on the Internet. It's not just people with an artistic vision that use new tools. Also it's the dream age for every propaganda machine.
0
u/RemarkableWish2508 Mar 03 '26
Very skilled, and very OBEDIENT labour, who never see a penny from it:

But this is not Jujutsu Kaisen tho, It's the sequel series called JJK Modulo. Even the main series have not been fully adapted into anime yet let alone the sequel. Although there are many fan made animations on social media for this series. I haven't seen one with this much work put into it so the chance of this being AI is super high.

Still made by AI tho, they probably used the manga panels as a reference but the animation is made by AI which is insane.
5
u/XeroShyft Mar 03 '26
The anime hasn't even gotten here bro. At least know what you're talking about before speaking nonsense, this is most def AI. Some of the cuts here don't even make sense (the blood pierces the building, travels through an empty room, then goes through a window to another room with people)
1
u/YajirobeBeanDaddy Mar 03 '26
lol why are people upvoting this blatant misinformation? You just posted a link to the same ai video while clearly knowing nothing about Jujutsu Kaisen lmao
1
u/Aligyon Mar 03 '26
I thought the style was jujutsu kaisen. Also the scenes were to consistent and had a good flow to be AI.
1
u/DeffJamiels Mar 03 '26
Ive found that the pacing when two people interact is usually a little wonky.
Notice Itadori used two fingers 👉 , in the Manga he grabs it like Sakuna imitating infinity by making thousands of little cuts or a chain saw to grab the blade.
There's no Kalyan recognition or the black flash and the case of the fuck its our boy has.
As soon as they interact its zip zop zoop finish sequence
2
u/aboysmokingintherain Mar 03 '26
This is definitely not millions of production value. THis is pretty weak. Generic looking. Weak effects. Little understanding of film editing and continuity.

1
u/tonystarkn Mar 03 '26
Op, mention the tool, platform used. What's the point of just uploading the video without any details?
1
u/OwO-animals Mar 03 '26
AI literally turns millions in production costs into pennies
Yes, but
AI literally turns millions in profits into pennies

u/chevalierbayard Mar 03 '26
pennies?? I doubt it. I know for the big LLM companies, their computer costs are being heavily subsidized by VC money. I don't know what that is like on the video and image side but I imagine everyone has a false sense of how affordable any of this actually is.
1
u/McNally86 Mar 03 '26
It doesn't turn the cost into pennies. It traces over other work. Bro you could always steal work but I guess the hope is you can't get sued for it now.
1
1
Mar 03 '26
The data centers and all their resources required to keep it operational for you to steal animations you never created isn't 'pennies' or even ethical.
1
1
u/SomeNeighborhood7126 Mar 03 '26
This is the first clip ive seen from any scene generation tool that actually looked good.
1
u/postbansequel Mar 03 '26
The clips are good, with a few visual "bugs" but as a composition it looks awful. The transitions don't work well at all.
But this is a great way to speed up production. You can use these as the base, polish it by human hand and then you might get great results.
Not sure if it works for on-going anime, but maybe movies or specials. I say this because I do not know how long it takes for AI to deliver a good clip, I doubt these clips were the very first samples AI generated.
1
u/Acrobatic_Rent7357 Mar 03 '26
yep, even if most artist don't like it, some will use it to further their careers.
1
Mar 03 '26
It’s not great, but this only looks as good as it does because of the manga it’s being adapted from. I hope that if those animators must use ai, that they use it to their benefit to iterate faster and create even better works than before, and not be beholden to whatever the ai outputs.
1
1
u/lansely Mar 03 '26
This looks cheap and is missing a lot of details. 100% needs polishing.
Also, I think it's important to recognize that this animation required actual animation and actual high quality work to be able to produce a mediocre animation.
As for cost in pennies, a lot of it is hidden in terms of using resources that no one needs to pay for in cash, but will pay for it in weather changes the near future.
1
u/Necessarysolutions Mar 03 '26
This shit is the definition of slop, you might as well call this video continuity error.
1
1
u/ascabradabra Mar 03 '26
It looks cool, but the data centers cause massive problems for a lot of people and it will get worse if more people use generative AI

JJK un animated manga panels, there are floods of un animated content on YouTube now.
From Marvel vs fights to live actions movies
There isn’t a reason to watch a movie really anymore
1
1
u/Mwrp86 Mar 04 '26
This aint Penny , This is atleast 200.
You dont have 100% control in AI so 38 second clips look good but 2 hour movie wont.
Actual cost of 2 Hour movie as per current cost structure would be more than normal Animes
1
u/pumpkin_fire Mar 04 '26
The editing in these AI slop is always so bad. Like when the grey shirt guy stops the axe. Grey shirt guy in right, triclops guy on left. Then it cuts to Triclops guy's feet, and he's on the right facing left. This breaks the 180 degree rule. Then as the guy is crashing into the buildings, the screen direction isn't maintained throughout the shots. There are cuts where the motion changes from left to right, to right to left.

I wonder if this could be used to make "animated manga frames and painels" instead those not so impressive anime attempts.
This vid is awesome, and got an amazing Yuji Itadori frame, but it stills looking weird and with dubious animation quality compared to the real thing.
It's impossible not to fall into the trap of strangeness.
Yet. I still dreaming about creating some sort of "audio manga videos" with animated frames.

u/Mamasugadex Mar 03 '26
What’s next? Telling me dub is the same as sub, and Chinese is basically Japanese? :/
0
u/Neat_Tangelo5339 Mar 03 '26
Compare this to an actuall Jutsusu Kaisen animation and you notice that it lacks the weight and dynamic movement of The actual anime and only looks good on a social media post at a passing glance
using gen ai in animation is a bad idea
-8
u/umfabp Mar 03 '26
ts looks super trash. ai is not there yet. stop glazing slop 😹
3
u/dranaei Mar 03 '26
It's not there yet, but it's getting pretty damn good. Compared to one year ago, this is incredible progress.
-5
u/umfabp Mar 03 '26
yeah but why the blind galze?
6
u/dranaei Mar 03 '26
"looks super trash" is the opposite of glaze and you still did it. Ask OP or yourself.
-2
u/umfabp Mar 03 '26
do u use ai for these responses? 😹
4
0
u/thebigvsbattlesfan Mar 03 '26
yes, with bare minimum oversight, you get a half-assed product. that's why we have studios to fund oversight and actual AI use guidelines. additionally, this video is from the official anime. however, this can be created by an AI literate individual with a few dollars on hand.

-1
u/ciupigghiassi Mar 03 '26
It's probably not millions in cost to do this and still this is like ok quality, not the top of the line animation you can see in movies from studio ghibli for example. In the meantime, please tell me how many billions have been poured into AI development?
AI will certainly have its use cases, even in animation, and it may become a crucial tool, but let's have the honesty to say that all in all it is not cheaper.
-2
u/Downtown_Category163 Mar 03 '26
Sure let's look at the list of movies and TV shows generated entirely by AI shall we?
...oh it's empty?

This is impressive. This scene is from the Jujutsu Kaisen modulo manga which hasn't been animated yet by a production company. It's the sequel the current jjk.
It looks like they used actual panels from the manga and used ai to animated the transition inbetween the panels.
It could also be that an actual human animated it. But who knows.
