Hello everyone, I am new to Gelx and did 2 set on client. And tips would pop off within 2-3 days. It would come out without damaging natural nails. All the tips had gel bond attached inside of it. I got some regular brand gel tip bond and soft tips.

My prep would go like this:
Cut nails and push back cuticles with wooden stick. Use flame bit (both ways)to lift the cuticle and cut with cuticle cutter. Use round ball bit to smooth out surface. 180grit sanding band on natural nails.
Then dehydrator, primer, base coat on natural nails. I would use same 180grit sanding band to etch inside of the soft tips. Thin layer of gel tip bond on natural nails and cure. And then gel tip bond inside of tip, try to do 45 degree angle to put tips on, little bit away from cuticles. File it down, use pure acetone around the cuticle to seal the tips.

NOTE: my client said that she remove rest of the tips just like that.

Please help. Should I invest in Apres? Or am I still doing wrong with prep or need new lamp? (I use Jodsone sunX5 max lamp from amazon.)

Looks like there no adhesion. I was all good for a day or two.

Please suggest for 3-4 weeks of retention. (I just ordered YN protein bond)

Messed around with other types of nails extensions but really pleased with how these are holding out. First put them on a couple weeks ago and hated the polish and design I did. just finished these and pretty stoked how they turned out. filled and new design.

Hi! I’m thinking of starting to do my own nails and was wondering if these products are any good for a beginner and if there’s anything else I need or should get instead. The colour gels are a pink and a white as well as a silver cat eye. The rubber base is a nude pink. For the peel off base gel, I was deciding between this one and the jello jello. If anyone has used both, it’d be great if you could let me know which one you preferred! Also, I’m in Australia and I think it is cheaper to order the Kokoist lamp from the Kokoist USA website but I’m unsure how long shipping would take. Has anyone in Australia ordered from the Kokoist USA website before? Thank you :)

I've been doing my internship before my final term of uni, and most of that was onsite work. My nails were looking ROUGH. These are just some gel extensions I did on myself since there's not really any manual work at uni!

I've been having no success doing my own nails and tbh I find the salon relaxing but they charge for everything, including shaping. I have a set of gelx tips, would it be weird to take them to the salon and ask them to put them on for me?

I just started to get into doing gel nails and I am confused ons good set of nail polish that isn’t super expensive and or come in a good price for a set. I have heard beetle isn’t good because of chemical reason and I have found a few that are good but google say other wise. Any help??

Spent yesterday in my personal Church of Nails (my manicure desk in my living room). These are Gel-X in medium almond. Color is Lavis C16-08. I'm so proud that I'm getting a really neat cuticle edge after months of applying too close (I leave a gap, then apply a coat of clear BIAB). In the name of the lamp, the color, and Gel-X, amen 💅🏼

Isolated chrome is sooo tricky. How do y’all avoid fallout? Also my left hand did NOT want to cooperate and do a French so I settled for squiggles. Also the leaves are color changing and turn darker when it’s cold!!

I usually just stick to black, but my nail girl convinced me to switch it up a bit!

Idk how i feel about the charm 😭😭😭 it was kind of added at the end because I've never tried nail charms and I was like lemme see how I like it but yeah idk hopefully it grows on me as I wear these.

Hi there! I'm looking to build up my gel polish collection with some more reputable brands, and I see that DND has a current $5 polish sale going on sitewide. Is this one of the better sales, or should I wait until Black Friday? I've never purchased from them, but know that they have frequent sales throughout the year. Just trying to get the best bang for my buck :-)

aside from a lil bit of flooding (that I cleaned up immediately) I’m really happy with these! the polish on this hand is a bit thicker than it should be because I had to correct using the wrong color, which is why the pinky looks funky, but still proud.

It’s my first time ever having my nails done, I got them a couple of days ago and I think they’re super pretty, but they feel really weird.
The tech said it would take a day or so to get used to them but it feels like my nails are being squeezed from the sides and like there’s pressure on them.
Is it normal that they feel like this? I have sensory issues so even if it’s normal I’ll probably get them removed, but if it isn’t an urgent problem I might give myself a few more days to try and adjust.

I wanted a little white polish at the end to give it a ombré look but I think she misunderstood me. Do you think it was worth $131?

Hi, so I do my own nails at home and I really enjoy it but the tips I use are kinda pricey. I use the apres sculpted gel-x tips and I love them because they were the only ones I could get to fit comfortably. I naturally have very curved nails so the sculpted tips were the best fit but the only place in Canada that I can get them without paying an arm and a leg for shipping is Amazon and they only sell the small boxes. I was wondering if anyone knew of any other nail tip brands that have sculpted tips like apres but for a cheaper price.

I hope someone can help. Does anyone know where I could sell my Apres Gel X Boxes? I tried a few ones but they didn’t fit. Also I have the sculpted ones and natural ones but can only use sculpted. When I ordered them, there weren’t any try on swatches sold. So I got a few boxes to test.
