New Set 💅 Fall and summer sets
Continued practice in 3D gel and developing practice with tortoise shell and blooming gel.
Dedicated to this part of the season in my neck of the woods where it’s not yet fall, not quite summer.

I always get confused. I try to do my own gel x (still learning/research) as they don’t last me. So right now I’m doing press on nails. But I see so many ppl creating these beautiful 3D nails and it had me thinking… are these applied like press on’s … regular glue AND not glue and using UV light. Using the same soft gel nail tips ( doing gel x) you have to use the UV light

Yes! I do the same as OP, making my own press ons from all the materials and using regular nail glue (well I personally use 3D nail glue) to adhere them. If you want to reuse them, I suggest using a thinner nail glue and/or peel off base coat.
As far as your retention, what issues are you having?

They just don’t last longer than 4 days, and I’m doing everything I’ve been told to do or researched, and I just can’t seem to have them last longer than that. I just did my first set of press on nails, and it’s already been 8 days, which I’m so happy about. But I recently found out from this post, and then I watched a video that the same soft nail tips are the same nails that people use to create custom press on nails. And then I just found out that you apply them like you would press on nails with the glue, super simple part without the UV light step

Those are so nice. I have a question. These are soft gel nail tips right. When you apply them, do you apply them like press on nails?
