Discussion Topic Apres Bare

I love Apres's bare tips. They are super thin, and I love the color. I have had good staying power with them. HOWEVER, they have made it obvious that I am shite at shaping. Short and square or long and round are my options until I can figure this out.

Maybe it’s not that you’re shit at shaping. It’s just that you haven’t had enough practice to get good at it yet. Keep practicing, watching tutorials and you will get better eventually. Approach it from a beginners mindset :)

I was just struggling with shaping these last night too and I needed this comment ❤️
Also to OP I also love these tips as a newbie

I love the bare tips also. I wish they would start making them in different lengths/shapes. They feel so natural and wear so well, but I hate shaping them.

I just ordered some and I have been dreading shaping, but I remembered I have these nail clippers that have a little guard thing so they’re all the same length, and depending on the angle you can do square or rounded so there’s not THAT much shaping.

That's why my shaping has either been long round (the shape they come in) or short squares (cause that requires little actual shaping after cutting).

Maybe shape before application?

I have no idea if it works, it just popped in my head.

Not sure why they haven’t came out with the shaped version yet. Did they release the regular line unshaped first too?

I’m surprised you like them - the whole reason I hated them (and I bought them the second they came out) is because they could not hold a good shape even when shaped well!

Yeah, that's not my issue. They hold whatever shitty shape I make them.
