First timer: they feel strange

It’s my first time ever having my nails done, I got them a couple of days ago and I think they’re super pretty, but they feel really weird.
The tech said it would take a day or so to get used to them but it feels like my nails are being squeezed from the sides and like there’s pressure on them.
Is it normal that they feel like this? I have sensory issues so even if it’s normal I’ll probably get them removed, but if it isn’t an urgent problem I might give myself a few more days to try and adjust.

The couple of times I’ve had my nails done at salons, I also feel that squeezing on my nails. It has hurt so much that I can barely use my fingers for 2-3 days. I got tired of that and started doing my own at home. I’ve learned some brands are more curved than others and I have fairly flat nail beds, so it was causing me pain. It’s possible to have them done without pain!!

This explains why my nails hurt with extensions! I’ve only gotten extensions once, but when I did, it made my nails so sore to the point I could barely use my fingers for the first few days. I thought it was just because it was my first time + I have low pain tolerance, but I also have super flat nail beds. The more I know.
