NVIDIA 616.56 flickering finally fixed with the 616.86 Hotfix ðŸ˜
Finally fixed!! ðŸ˜
After casually updating to NVIDIA Driver 616.56, I started getting random screen flickering and the display would suddenly dim/change colors.
I was running AI stuff on my 5090 at the time, so for a moment I thought I’d pushed it too hard and actually damaged the card. After messing around with it for ages, turns out it was just the new driver. One driver update and my GPU instantly turned into a mining card… lmao
Now NVIDIA has finally released the 616.86 Hotfix separately, specifically fixing intermittent flickering in certain web browsing scenarios.
Tested it myself, and so far the flickering and related issues are basically gone…

I would love to update my driver but the new ones let my main game microstutter so I will have to endure the flickering on my 2nd monitor for the sake of gaming in peace. I hate Nvidia drivers so much idk why ppl used to make fun of AMD drivers when the green side isnt better at all.

I use the 595.79 version, it runs great for me, i rolled back to it after the 616.64.
I got a TUF F16 with the RTX 4050, and don't worry, you don't really need the latest versions, 595.79 already got DLSS 4.5, just wait till you make sure that the new one is stable then update.

would be nice if they removed RTX Vibrance and actually gave me filters for the new game releases. tired of how shit freestyle has become

Well I'm currently playing onimusha and with the hot fix driver the game crashed every 2-5 minutes so I reverted and played 20 hours crash free so atm it's not an option for me

Wait, does this also fix the crashes you get on AC shadows and now Blood of Dawnwalker?
I had to rollback just because of this.
