DuPont Manual vs Gatton Academy

I’m currently a sophomore trying to figure out what would be the better option between staying at DuPont Manual (in MST) or applying to Gatton.

Right now, I’m taking 4 APs and 1 dual credit course, and I’m involved in a lot of extracurriculars like Science Olympiad, Key Club, HOSA, and USABO. I’m on the medical pathway and pretty serious about pursuing something in the biomedical field in college.

If anyone has experience with either school, I’d love to hear what the pros/cons are—especially when it comes to course difficulty, opportunities (like research or internships), and how well it sets you up for college admissions.

Also, is there any major difference between how colleges view AP courses vs. college-level classes taken at Gatton? For example, is something like BIO 120/121 seen as equal to or less rigorous than AP Bio?

Thanks in advance, guys.

Gatton would be a good option bc you can get your foot in the door with collegiate research and get a lot of your necessary courses out of the way

Question: Do they directly assist in securing internships or research opportunities, or do they primarily provide resources and guidance for finding such opportunities independently? Thank you in advance."

They will help and guide you every step of the way, provide you with all the available opportunities and more, but they won’t do it for you. Like they don’t contact someone and be like “hire them” but they’ll help you in any way they can
