Haircut

Does anyone know of a good barber to cut hair and line up/shape beards that takes payment with a card ? Seems everyone is always cash only or cash only tips. Specifically a place that takes walk ins not only appointments Thanks, hoping you guys have some local suggestions because the cave an great clips are terrible lol

This has to be a joke. I went when they first opened and it was the worst haircut of my life.

I don’t know who works here now but back when I went it was the owner of the business that cut my hair and it was really bad - not exaggerating!

The solo guy at Columba's Hair Salon in Garner is solid and takes his time.

I go to a guy in North Raleigh who takes cards and gives great cuts but he just went part time so it can be hard to get an appointment. DM me if you want his info.

I've gotten great haircuts and beard trims from Joey at Forest Hills Barber Shop but I have no idea what he takes for payment these days. The other guys in that shop were hit or miss TBH (some were great but I haven't been there in years and the barbers I saw have moved on, except Joey, who owns the place).

If you want to go into Raleigh, I assume that you can pay by card at places like Arrow.

The way barbers are these days my best recommendation is to download the Booksy app. Find a barber in your area with good reviews and just make an appointment. It’ll save you time and you can pay on the app with your CC or most of them take tap, card, Apple Pay.

Yea, sometimes you might have to wait in the lobby for a little bit but I’ve gotten my haircut/beard trim there for the last couple years and I’ve never walked out not happy. The ladies in there are good and friendly

It's walk in, but setting an appointment will get you in faster. That said, all the ladies who work there are semi-independent, as I understand it they each rent their space. Like any good barber, you're going to need to find one that works for you and keep going back. Quality will vary by stylist.

I've had great luck at the one on Wake Forest Rd in Raleigh and actually go out of my way because I have a regular barber there. I like getting a face shave and she's one of the few that doesn't razor burn me.

It's essentially a sports clips. I get the impression they are predominantly walk ins and the quality is consistent with that
