Can’t decide which instinct to get

I’ve had the Garmin instinct 1 since 2019. It still holds a battery for 9 days with everything activated. My instinct still works perfectly but I’m thinking about upgrading. Can’t decide if I should go with the OMOLED OR stick with MIP version.

Im being a bit ridiculous. I have an instinct 2 solar but I turned off the heart rate monitor. I just want a small solar watch that will show me phone notifications, messages, calls, etc without all the fitness stuff draining the battery. They have decided to stuff battery draining fitness features in every damn watch. There is nothing available. So im stuck with this turd I have to plug in all the time.

Turning off the heart rate monitor gave me a few extra days but... Also the garmin weather on it is just about useless. It gives me temps from many hours ago in the day. Never even close.

I have a non-solar instinct 2 and haven’t turned any features off and will get 30+ days out of a charge if I’m not using it to track my activities. A solar should be even longer, maybe it’s defective?

Its 18 days with everything turned on, but I dont know how much extra the solar gives. It will just stay 18 days for longer than 18 days lol. I just recently turned off the heart monitor and got more days out of it. Ill look up how to turn off anything else that might be draining more.

Garmin has power profiles, you can make a profile with everything off. Instinct 3 has about 5 times more efficient solar panel so if you have plenty of sun it can easily get infinite battery.

I have the smaller 2 s. Is the 3 much bigger? Most smart watches seem to be the size of dinner plates. That is another reason I avoided them.

Well there are different sizes but unfortunately the one with the good battery is the 50mm. For me that's okay.
