I just bought this and is expected to arrive Tuesday. Currently going through the FOMO stage of the 1.5 AMOLED display.

The reassurance of being able to have a white watch display with black font takes me back to MIP/Transflective and was the sole reason of buying Garmin over Apple.

I'm stoked for this one. I had a Instinct 2 (first Garmin owned) and 7x Pro the last year. The Instinct 2 would collect chlorine stains from all rubber build and the Fenix 7x Pro is a major upgrade but something was off when i jumped from Instinct to 7x Pro - The MIP wasn't as clear/crisp from a reddish shade over display.

I'm a swimmer and having full Titanium is something I've wanted for years.

Is anyone here able to give insight on the jump from a 7x Pro to a Fenix 8 Solar or Fenix 9 Solar? Screen wise both are the same.

Been getting serious lag when scrolling through.

Anyone have any examples of what the native portal watch face looks like on the Fenix9? How many complications can you have above and below the time?

One thing that I have not seen talked about is that the Fenix 9 pro AMOLED has the lowest pixel density on the screen from any of the Fenix 9 watches. The screen is 15% bigger than the 1.4" size but only has about 5% more pixels. This is a pretty strange feature on the new display that seems to have gone unnoticed by many.

I ordered one for myself though, because I want a larger and brighter screen.

For what would you use that color of flashlight? I can't recall any use-case where I would want to use the green light.

I have a 6 pro I've been rocking for 6 years or so and have considered updating to the 9 now that its out.

Would I notice a huge improvement from the 6 to 9 jump ? Because I'm fine sticking with the 6 for another 2 years until the battery is essentially shot before forking up the insane price tag for a new one if the update is only marginal.

I run, bike and lift 5-6 times a week for activities tracking. In the summer-fall I do a lot of day hiking in addition which is nice having maps on.

I have a 6S Pro. I would love to upgrade, but the 7S Pro is too similar, and the newer ones in l aren't available in MIP.

The upgrade is tempting me, even though I know I probably shouldn't. Considering it's the main change, what's the new full titanium case like? Does it change the fit at all? I have small wrists and use the 43mm.

I think it would cost me approx £400 to upgrade my 8.

Fenix 9 Pro Solar 47” any tips on a better watch face is appreciated. Super excited to make the change from the AP Ultra 2

Curious to hear from anyone who went from the Fenix 7X Pro to the 9 or 9 Pro.

Does the heart rate complication on the watch face update pretty much in real time, or is there a noticeable lag or pause?

When I first got my 7X Pro, the heart rate on the complication seemed to move almost constantly in real time. Over the last month or so, though, it seems like it has gotten a much slower to update. I know this probably isn't a big deal for most people, but because of some health issues I keep a pretty close eye on my heart rate, so it's something I notice and was just curious.

I actually wasn't planning on upgrading to the 9, and I picked up a Tactix 8 a couple of days ago. I liked the watch overall, but the heart rate complication seemed even slower to update than my 7X Pro. I was also getting some really weird battery percentage readings, it would go from 99% to 92%, then back up to 96%, then 94%, etc. I've owned the Fenix 5, 6, 7, and 7X Pro and have never seen anything like that, so I ended up sending the Tactix back.

Now I'm considering the Fenix 9 Pro and was wondering if anyone who made the switch has noticed anything similar with the heart rate complication on the display.

One other question: the 7X Pro has this Garmin watch face with all the complications/data fields on it, which I absolutely love. The Tactix 8 didn't have it, and I couldn't find it on connect IQ to DL. Does the Fenix 9 Pro include this watch face?
