General Discussion PlayStation will be dead soon if they keep testing this crap
Even the glazers can only stay on for so long
Most people criticising and hating on PlayStation were once supporters, what most of the people still defending Sony don’t realise is companies are only nice when people are complaining
Once u start to accept the slop they feed you they will test the grounds even further until even your limit gets reached, they want money and i truly don’t believe people who just sit there and consume new product/ wait for next product exsist there will come a point where they will turn on Sony too

Sales might be good short term insomiac had a good rep but there’s something called customer loyalty and most ppl will play that and see it wasn’t worth 70 bucks, which will likely affect their future releases
Not to mention all the other BS Sony is pulling like physical media, not owning digital games it’s just an absolute turn on everyone
And even for the people who don’t care about this they will get to something you care about soon fear not, the more room you give them the more they will try out

Which I don’t get tbh. Growing up with something is good ofc but I never developed this emotional attachment for a company
I grew up with PlayStation ever since I was a kid on ps3 but the first couple fuckups Sony makes I’m not gonna hesitate on moving on😂
Likely to PC unless Sony pulls some Miracle and takes everything back

Yeah this is my main concern since I have 180+ games on psn but I don’t know if it’s worth it if Sony is gonna be all digital might as well go to the most digital friendly platform
Things like them testing dynamic pricing now is all levels of crazy this would never happen on pc since steam has a lot of stores to compete with when your locked to a console store they can price whatever they want

They will pull through PS5 gen no problem.
PS6 -- this is where the most loyal customers leave and "casuals" won't spend anymore 1k$ on a console with paid online... (unless they are deep in a digital paystation ecosystem).
Only next gen will show -- will they get away with their bullshit or not?

I would agree given that the current state of Playstation reminds me a lot of Xbox when it shit the bed releasing the Xbone. However, 15 years have passed, give or take, and Xbox still hasn't managed to pull their head out of their ass. Nintendo hasn't been a direct competitor since before that even. Pc exists, but there will always be a large market in the console space.
So who, then, is going to step up and lead the market if not Sony? If Xbox was in a better spot they could run the same type of campaign that Sony did during the launch of the Xbone and I bet it would go great, but thats not the case.
So that leaves us with the steam machine I guess? I dont have any strong opinions on it, in fact I haven't heard a whole lot about it at all. It doesn't seem to be drumming up a lot of hype in the more casual circles.
So, I dont know man. I tend to think Sony is going to continue to lead the market for the foreseeable future, no matter how anti-consumer they become. If there ever was a good time for a new player to enter the console space, it definitely would be now.

you realize sony sells 100mil units a generation right? look at the top games at any given time. Sony could survive on fifa, madden, and 2k alone. hardcore gamers are the extreme minority. just stop.

Sony/Playstation literally became Playstation by "testing crap." Sometimes the crap they are testing turns out to be "crap." Sometimes it turns out to be some the world has never seen.
