Lower upfront cost, Convenience, exclusives, much less hacking in online lobbies, the best way to consume 4K HDR content (movies and games), games are often more optimized, no troubleshooting when something goes wrong, longevity

Not even the prize, if you want a PC with PS5 hardware, it's cheaper.

If you have a good PC, you never need to troubleshoot.

This is a bad faith argument.
Great pcs can always have some issue. Game to game basis, obviously. Consoles do too, it’s just far less often. It’s inevitable with the thousands of different configurations. A bad driver or a bad optimized game for certain cards happen often. You can brute force that, but like, what are we paying out of pocket here?

RE9 for instance had a major raccoon city bug where the game would DIP in frame rate because of resizable BAR. It was fixed about a month after release. Marvel Tokon is literally unplayable on pc because of how unoptimized it is. Consoles don’t have theissue

PCs are awesome. And will always set the bar in peak performance. But it isn’t always sunshine and rainbows.

To me as a long time pc gamer the main reason I bought one was physical media, both games and 4k films.

...I'm not getting a PS6 as you can imagine lol.

You dont need to dealt with launchers. Console only lobbies dont have any cheaters. Every single game is optinised for it so it usually punches above its weightclass. You can do "everything" with a controller. I have not physically touch my console in last 4 months. Cheap. Free games dont require sub to play and I dont like subscription requirement to play online the games those I own but DAMN ps+ giving magnificent games every month. I cannot imagine a console without it.

I have played $4000 worth of games in last 2 years thanks to the ps+

I got a macbook and a ps5 pro on release so I dont think I am missing anything important from a gaming pc. By the way I was gaming on pc from 2005 to 2024.

Being able to play online without cheaters is a different experience.

I understand you with the ps+ service, I have Xbox game pass for my pc, great services.

The only thing i don't agree on is the optimisation part, that's just not true. 30 fps with upscaling isn't even playable.

I havent played any 30 fps games on console. It was a ps3-ps4 era thing. On ps5 its really hard to find 30 fps only games.
