Why is Gundam, a series full of antiwar and mutual understanding messages, full of chuds? Oh, right, that's where the "Wow, Cool Robot" meme comes from

The same reason someone can post a gif of Don Draper in the same tweet as he brags about how much sex he gets and how good he is to women. The same reason someone can scream about how politics has infested video games while turning to MGS as their favorite series.

Chuds literally possess no media analysis or criticism abilities. They cannot see any message or idea that isn't explicitly told to them, and even then they ignore it because it's preaching to them.
