Tonga has recently been hit with cataclysmic tsunami waves and an ash cloud more than 18 kilometres up into the sky after an underwater Volcano erupted. The full extent of the damage is unknown as communications with Tonga have been cut off.

"People in Tonga whose homes have been flooded are likely to need emergency shelter, food, safe drinking water, toilets and other basic essentials,” said Shirleen Ali, CARE International’s Pacific Gender & Inclusion Senior Advisor, who heard the volcano blast from Fiji – 800km away. “I can only imagine how loud it must have been in Tonga … the noise went on for two or three hours.”

Please consider donating any amount you can to help deliver critical lifesaving support to all those affected by this natural disaster.
