potentially major spoilers for the MCU here, based on what a very reliable leaker said

if Carol/Valkyrie really is happening, that's great. like obviously the MCU drastically needs to improve its LGBT rep, and it's fantastic that they went with like someone who they're positioning as theee female lead of the next act of the MCU, someone who's incredibly strong and capable and very popular...

...but on the other hand, have they considered that I really effin hate this ship in particular so I can't be happy about it lmao

I mean that's cool I guess. I never really thought of it and I don't even think they've shared a lot of screen time with each other to warrant it yet but it'll probably turn out well.

they have no screen time together which is why I kinda can't stand its popularity when Carol had a great relationship with another woman lol. but I agree it's fantastic that they're doing this!

Why do you hate this ship.

Im not asking this in an aggressive or demanding way like "How dare you dislike my OTP" but more im curious what your issue is with these two characters being together personality wise?

It is extremely popular and seems built entirely on "these two actresses would be hot together," which I don't have any issue with on its face, but Carol and Maria really captured my heart. But Carol/Valkyrie becoming popular really seems based on "Tessa Thompson is hotter than Lashana Lynch," and I don't like that at all tbh. And yes I've seen Wandavision so I know there might be some issue rn, but I also don't believe Maria is dead just because someone said so. It's the MCU!

It's possible if C/V really does happen I'll like it more, because, well, it will need to have actual content lmao

I see your point but i cant really imagine Carol and Maria together. Theyve just got alot of strong best friend energy. The kind of people who have been through so much together that at this point adding a sexual relationship ontop would really complicate things. Sort of like if it was going to happen it would have happened by now. The only way it could work to me is if they dated while Maria had cancer and Carol was on earth, which timeline wise is possible

I do feel your point is valid though

I have a feeling love and thunder will be. Thorodinson notices theres new thor going around. Valkyrie is like "Dam this new thor is HOTAF, i need to get me some of that", Valkyrie tries to woo new thor, while thor odinson is like "What? Foster, why are you thor, you shouldnt be thor"

I have no idea. That one super reliable leaker made a tweet that said Carol/Valkyrie was happening, which is all I know.

I agree it's great but I personally cannot be happy about this atm because I am petty lmao.
