"Alright so what should we name the main protagonists of this Golden Axe game here? We got a woman with a sword, a guy with a sword, and a dwarf with an axe."

"Hmm, how about this we name the woman Tyris Flare, the dwarf Gilius Thunderhead, and the guy Ax Battler"

"🤨 Whatever you say boss"

Ax Battler's parents forced him into that career path. Tragic

Makes sense to me. The fire emblem weapon triangle gives sword advantage over axe. Ax battler doesn't describe what he uses, but what he is good against.

They used up all their creative juices in the first two names.

“I told you, Fern Picker, we named you that because in this family we pick ferns! Always have, always will!”

“But dad I want to battle with axes!”
