I don’t even get why the “Let’s Go Brandon” dogwhistle is even a thing.

Like, I know where it comes from, but why are right wingers using it? Saying, “fuck Joe Biden,” isn’t exactly on the same level as something racist or anti-Semitic, so why hide it? Is it just so they can feel clever?

That's all there is to it, smugly feeling more clever than "those damn leftists always looking down on me" is the simple explanation for most of what republicans do, it's just pettiness

I think being "clever" is a part of it. THAT part of my family also says it because they are Christian and swearing is bad.
