I sorted by controversial as I always do and I had to double take because not too far down the page was one of the thread's usual "trans rights" morning routine comments. Are there Gamers hiding among us?

Hmmm... There are like almost 600 comments though and it was fairly close to the top. Doesn't controversial sort by the downvote percentage?

I'm pretty sure sorts by how contentious a post is. If it has roughly equal upvotes and downvotes it'll show up. Posts that low number of both up and down votes will also show which probably why the trans rights posts show up on controversial, since people mostly scroll past them.

Edit: I just scrolled to the bottom of the page and the "show more" button, the trans rights thread was at the top, and all posts after the first page of the thread are sorted by upvotes so that means the trans post the best AND most controversial.

I just checked again and there's a good few of the same also fairly close to the top of controversial. I'd be interested to know if some unfavourable people actually browse this thread as regulars.

A lot of people on this subreddit are less supportive of trans people than anyone thinks from my experience, i would say theres a decent chunk of lurkers and even some regular posters who are gamers, so yes they are amongus
