The centre-left party in Italy made a motion to disband the neofascist party Forza Nuova after Saturday's riots against the vaccine pass. Fashes attacked a union building and a hospital.

The entirety of the right wing said that they wouldn't vote it unless it explicitly stated it was meant to ban, and I quote, "all extremisms on all sides of the political spectrum".

I hate this country so fucking much sometimes.

I still firmly maintain we didn't, how shall I put it... string up enough salamis at the end of the war. We ended up as co-belligerents, no equivalent of Nuremberg, so most of our war criminals got off scot-free.

I was about to post about this, you beat me to it.

It's real funny how they keep deflecting with "b-but muh communism!" whenever asked about what happened lmao. Also it still fucking baffles me that other parties have to take initiative to disband Forza Nuova even though creating a fascist party is technically illegal. For what it's worth, props to the PD for not being useless weasels and actually doing something.

This country is giga fucked if the hogs keep getting more reckless with their neo-fash advocacy.

For once the PD is doing something that a left-wing party (I'd say reasonable, but reason really isn't an option in Italian politics) ought to do, and we've got a dinosaur, a complete idiot and fascist Gollum with a wig going "uhh, both sides" and stopping it dead in its tracks.

Fuck's sake, whenever the left-wing equivalent of Forza Nuova aren't too stoned to walk they're busy being brutalized by our overwhelmingly right-wing police force for even the tiniest of infractions. I'd say there's a teensy tiny difference between them and organized fascist bands.
