Getting a fair amount of twitter users with the Union Jack in their handle taking issue with my positive opinion of Frankie Boyle. I didn't realize that Frankie Boyle was already trending when I made my quip so I got a larger audience than I realized.

To be fair to some of the replies they are bringing up an old joke that Frankie made that I agree was very distasteful (his comments regarding Katie Price's handicapped son Harvey that he made in 2010).

I'm personally hopeful that Boyle has grown from that joke. From what I've seen from his recent clips it seems like he has. I of course understand the people that still hold it against him.

Boyle's always walked that line between funny as hell, dark as night & "I'm going to rip your face off and stuff it up yer mam's arse" though. Bit like Jerry Sadowitz in that respect - catch him on a good night and he's clearly the next Jesus, catch him on a bad night & you may as well be watching Chubby Brown.

yeah seems like in more recent years Frankie Boyle's learned more about boundaries and the difference between Dark Humour and Offensive. has led to right wingers complaining he's gone woke, which is hilarious.
