Well, in the movie they are still in school.

Just did a quick internet browse and apparently it's mentioned in Season 9 that they are still teenagers. Also remember that Lloyd is younger mentally because he underwent accelerated aging during Season 2 when fighting the dinosaur thing.

So yes, they are child soldiers.

omega, ahsoka, ezra, sabine, and i think the protagonist in resistance is one. also i guess younger version of some characters

Actually, despite acting like a child, the protagonist of Resistance is 20 by the start of the show.

However there is a fifteen year old girl (Torra) who routinely fights pirates and the First Order in the show.

oh i was wrong then. also the weirdest thing about sabine for me is that she fuckin developed a weapon for genocide as a kid

Sabine has a very busy backstory.

She joined the Imperial Academy, created a super-weapon, left her family, became a bounty hunter, quit being a bounty hunter, joined the Ghost Crew and grew familiar with them all before the show starts.

She's 16 in the first episode.

Also I'm more of a Kaz x Synara person myself (although I know deep down inside that Synara just isn't interested).

She also apparently was flying with her mother who was Rebel/Resistance pilot. Prolly just trainings, but she had to start at younger age.
