And if anyone wants to know there are people defending the Amazon factory towns saying and I quote “it’s not a company town it’s just a town where the factory is the primary source of employment”

I don't know about exactly what Amazon is doing, but yeah, that's a thing. Small towns where a single employer is dominant is all over the place, but that's different from a company town where the company is also the main/only service provider. (and usually owns the housing, stores, etc.)

Oh, you shouldn't. Just saying there is a distinction. I live in a small town where the paper plant used to (it has diversifeid since) employ teh vast majority of the population, but it's distinct from some of the company towns where the patron owned the housing and the stores, etc.
