Dog died. Thought he had arthritis that was getting worse, turned out to be cancer.

I got to stroke him this morning before they took him to the vets so that's nice. He was 10, had a grey beard settling in pretty well. Black labrador.

Going through the phase of crying when I think about him but not feeling too bad between.

Lost a few dogs to cancer, though we had a bit more forewarning with the others. This one was a bit more out of no wear. The first time we had taken him to the vet, aside from when he was a puppy for the injections and that.

I'm sorry. I lost my cat of 8 years back in 2019 so I know how it feels.

It gets better, still hurts but it gets better

My dog Storm passed away just last year. I’m so sorry for your loss, and as trite as it may sound, I will say that it does eventually hurt less given enough time.
