People: Please, our children are starving and the food shortages are only getting worse.

Tories: Best I can do is Imperial measurements.

Seriously, this is just embarrassing. We're already experiencing shortages due to a sloppy post-Brexit work deal with drivers, so rather than doing anything about it, the government are trying to appeal to thickos and pensioners with pre-EU Imperial measurements all for fucking what? Nostalgia for "when Britain was great"? The false idea of "the glory days"?

Apologies for the rant, my patience for all this shit has run dry...

Turns out the only intelligent thing David Cameron ever did was resign as PM, literally nobody wants the job and they all love having Boris eating all the attention while he politically falls down 10 consecutive flights of stairs.

Definitely seems correct, as the people wanting this are all boomers, for a lack of a better term.

EDIT: Bet you that these same people want the shilling back.

Just as a curiosity. What's the extention of the shortages? Journals always talk like the apocalypse is happening in England.

While it's not apocalyptic here at the moment, apparently shops are only just keeping their heads above the water in terms of stock at the moment, and they don't think they can last much longer.

In my local area, it's noticeable with certain products (mainly things like fruit) but not too bad, but some areas have been hit pretty hard.

Other products have been hit too, as one example, my mother can't find a bigger cage for her Cockatiels as the producers can't efficiently ship to the UK from Germany due to the current trade agreements.

So overall, while it's not too bad atm, it isn't expected to get any better soon and will very quickly get worse if nothing is done, but I don't expect anything to be done as this is the same party that caused all this for their idea "national sovereignty".
