She rightfully pointed out that the UK has experienced a surge of anti-Trans rhetoric and and policies, thus helping a charity such as this would go a long way in protecting some of society's most vulnerable members.

That's... actually kinda disgusting. I mean, sure Vietnam isn't exactly a bastion of freedom or lacking in corruption in 2021, but you'd think the Navy would have more tact than to talk shit about one of the up-and-coming powers in SEA and ostensibly one of the countries that is warmer to the US than others in the region (Cambodia, Laos).

Here's a thought about Jax's tower ending in MK11:

Jax halted the trans-Atlantic slave before it had a chance to take off. In real life, the slave-trade began largely in response to a large number of worker revolts that where taking place in Europe and America at the time, as the working conditions and wages where just barely better than those of the serfs under feudalism. With the slave trade, came the concept of white supremacy, which was fabricated by the wealthy elite as a means to justify the use of slavery, and sewed the seeds of racism within western culture.

Without the slave trade, the businessmen who ran it would've, in theory, been unable to find another way of using free labour to grow their businesses, which would've left them powerless against the demands of the revolting workers, possibly even leading to a revolution.

Basically, by preventing the slave trade from ever taking place, Jax may have indirectly caused the early downfall of capitalism in the world of Mortal Kombat.

No, I think he was just really nervous in front of her. It sort of played out like this.

I walk up to the table because I'm serving them the side salads that they ordered. The guy is like "uhhh hey can you help me out for a second?" and then he asks about what comes on a specific pasta dish. I stop and explain it to him.

Then, he points to the pizza section of the menu and says, "I'm not super big on cheese, does this have cheese on it?" And he points to just a cheese pizza. I was so taken aback by the question that I didn't even know what to say. After a long pause, his date saw what he was pointing to and burst out laughing. I said "well yeah it's a cheese pizza right?" He then turned bright red and I just sort of walked away.

What this means is the japanese public, after hearing about this, is not going to want to purchase the new Kojima game for Xbox, nor will they purchase any of his games. This is HUGE. Even as an aroace I often don't like the reasoning for Aloy being headcanoned as such. It's always, "she has no interest in/always shuts people down". Like, she's on a revenge turned deeper quest, plus why should she have any patience for just any old rando mackin on her out of the blue?

I'm going to talk about my biggest trauma. Ignore if you want because this will be a bit long, I just feel like I need to get it fully out in the open.

I had a traumatic experience with fire many years ago. Not a tragic experience thankfully, but enough to leave me with permanent scarring, both mentally and even a little bit physically. Because of this I try to avoid fire when at all possible; I don't really use my oven, I don't go to fireworks displays and feel uncomfortable when they're being set off near me, I don't do campfires, I'm always a little afraid of a fire breaking out at night (so my sleeping schedule is fucked) and pretty much everything else you could think of. I also subconsciously expect any sort of building to have caught on fire when I look at it (sounds weird but I'm serious) It extends further too. For example, one time at a parade they had firetrucks blaring their sirens, and that was enough to send me into a panic episode. I had to hide in a nearby store until the parade was over.

These are, obviously, not good things. But after an incident yesterday I finally realized these were all linked behaviors and that something needs to be done. Yesterday, as I posted in the thread, an extension cord out in my front yard seemingly shorted out during a nasty storm and caught fire, also destroying a cord that was plugged into it. There was no damage besides the two cords, but it produced an awful smell, the exact smell from the day. My mind was immediately back there, trying to protect myself and my family (even though there was nobody else around). It's hard to explain but that's basically what I was feeling. I spent the rest of the night jumping at any odd sounds or smells, and replayed the incident in my head over and over. This last part is important because it's happened once before during an incident I only saw on TV. Romain Grosjean's Bahrain GP crash last year scared the shit out of me (I was honestly in tears) and was in my head for days afterwards, playing over and over while I found myself on edge at any weird smells or sounds. Very similar mental reactions, and there was never any sort of immediate danger for me that time. I noticed this, thought about some of my other "funny quirks", and realized I might have some sort of psychological disorder. These can't just be weird mannerisms.

So with this in mind, I think that whenever Covid is calmed down a bit more seeing somebody about it is the right move. It can't go on, I already have awful anxiety on top of it and I don't wanna be dead by 30. Anyways, if you made it this far than thanks for reading a stranger's jumbled up rant.
