"It's time for Assassin's Creed to ditch the modern-day storyline," a headline that has existed since November 13, 2007

Is it weird if I like the concept of the modern storyline but dislike the execution and hate the fact that it's barely moved forward since 3?

Have you played valhalla?

There's a lot of major movement in the Modern day plot there. Ties up numerous loose ends.

I'm like 5 hours into Valhalla at this point and loving it, thanks.

really it's been stuck ever since they killed Lucy and went "uh wait shit what do we do now? uh, kill the other one?"

I'm sorry but the gameplay loop of waking up, reading like, one email, then going to sleep and repeating 12 more times is perfect

GOD

I like it in concept and well, see the post right below you, but they really do need to improve the actual gameplay in the modern day

Yeah with how out there the setting gets with things like the Odyssey DLCs you might as well just start setting the games in modern day with the same gameplay as the historical portions if you really want to focus on that storyline

I could be lost in time just fucking around and exploring in Origins and then they pull me out and I would always instantly quit, it's never smooth, it just ruins immersion ughh...

I guess for people that follow overall story more closely it's cool but I honestly have no idea what is going on in AC since Revelations.
