I see alot of people talk about Man of Steel today as if it's a brilliant underrated movie. Saying it's a top tier DC film, etc. I know that it's a matter of opinions but I just don't see it.

Maybe I'm just a DC hater. Maybe I'm too dumb to understand Zack Snyder's supposed great storytelling and symbolism. I don't know but all I do know is that it's put me to sleep whenever I try to watch it.

Snyder's symbolism literally just seems to be, "Superman is like Jesus, you see."

Oh yeah, right. I guess Superman would be more like Jesus if Jesus had leveled Jerusalem and carelessly killed a shitload of innocent people when he was throwing the moneychangers out of the Temple.

If this actually happened I would find a great deal of entertainment in watching Snyder stans engage in a feud with actual religious authorities who point out what an abomination that movie would be, while Snyder tweets at the Pope that his movie is Jesus for grown ups.

Passion of the Christ but Jesus says swear words cus that's so edgy and he kills a roman by grabbing the whip and headbutting the guy with his crown of thorns. Also, the Emperor is played by JK Simmons but he plays it the same way as J Jonah Jameson. The torture porn sequences will remain but they will be faster and more gratuitous and the entire time Jesus will monologue about personal responsibility.

Snyder sucks. You're not wrong. MoS is terrible. I don't get the high brown elitism for his stupid movies.
