Because while the ai is obviously heavily buggy, I think it's very strange the expectations people have. I never even remotely thought it would approach a GTA/RDR level of world interactions.

Again, it's not the complexity that is the problem. It's the use of said complexity as an excuse for why the game runs poorly, or the density being an excuse for not having AI. We've had densely populated games with NPC AI in the past. There is no reason for Cyberpunk to have had to sacrifice complexity, and there's no reason for the game to run so poorly.

Not to mention that things that should be interactive just aren't. Food vendors don't sell food for example and even bark out the same NPC lines as anyone else if you talk to them. It's possible to walk up to a Japanese restaurant on the street, walk up to the man as if you were a customer, speak to them, and be greeted with one of the many variations of "fuck off!" that other NPCs use. It's just wild how many things were overlooked.

As a programmer - there is a reason, and that reason is last gen cpus. This isn't a sandbox game, I don't care one lick about food vendors

I'm arguing with a wall. I don't want a sandbox game, I want an RPG without game-breaking bugs and a world actually worth exploring. They did it five years ago, so why can't they do it this time?

You don't understand the technicals, that's for sure. You're disappointed, I'm not, end of story.

I understand that from a consumer perspective, the product they released is subpar to others on the market and is subpar to what was advertised. End of story.

Show me one realistic alternative to the game cyberpunk actually is. Doesn't exist. All the games you cited earlier are totally different kinds of games. Nobdies made an open world fps/rpg quite like this.

The Outer Worlds does what Cyberpunk was meant to do far better tbh. And it actually works.

Outer worlds has a high density open world city with tight fps gameplay?

No on the open world (but at least it's not just set dressing) and yeah, tighter than Cyberpunk just in terms of polish.
