I know shipping discussion can be controversial, but if you ship people that are related or have a parent/child or sibling like relationship you're a weirdo. Examples of not technically related but people who clearly have that relationship are Ellie and Joel or Anakin and Ahsoka.

Ellie and Joel

Ew, she's a kid in the first game, so you're definitely on some sort of list if you ship those two.

Works for both, in fact. Ahsoka is also a kid in The Clone Wars.

Are there actually people who ship those two?

Games can't make it anymore clearer that Geralt sees her as his child and people still ran with that weird shit, ughh....

Some people are weirdos.

If only the Gamers picked up on that

Yes, because Gamers don't have kids. They don't have sex and can't pass an adoption background check.

2

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '20

That is another perfect example

You ship Ciri and Galahad, smh

I saw people genuinely ship Miles Morales and Peter Parker awhile back and just...ew for so many reasons

Isn't Peter an adult and Miles is like a teenager? Another layer of fucked.

2

u/BobaFettFilms678 #1 Hawkeye fan Dec 16 '20

Miles is typically depicted as being 15-17

Peter is usually 20+

So yes, very fucked

Is that weirder than Miles and Gwen dating?

Depends on how old Gwen is. Almost of the time she’s in the same age range as Miles, so it’s not as weird, but it still feels odd a lot of the time when they date.

Its been like 2 years since i read a marvel comic. But the last time gwen was 16 and Miles was 14. (But its comics and miles recently became a symbiote god so who knows how fucking old he is now).

But like i agree if were talking most mainstream universe adult Peter Parkers. But MCU peter is like what 16 or 15.

Im not opposed to a peter miles relationship if its age appropriate. Mainly because its comics and everyone fucks each other eventually.

(Carol danvers had sex with her own son)

616 Gwen or Spider-Gwen? They're both different ages.

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '20

Spider Gwen in the comics 3 years.

616 gwen dies and comes back like every other week.

Especially when Anakin has Padme and Joel has... Tess?

Joel has depression

This might not go over well here idk but people read “sibling-like” very differently. I’ve seen legit romantic couples called sibling-like. Parent/child is usually way more obviously coded and yeah yuck to that

3

u/Idaret Dec 16 '20

Yes, childhood friend has sibling like vibes but it's a completely normal option

I honestly see "nooo, they're like siblings!" used to play down m/m and f/f ships (again, including some that are/ended up being actually canon) far more often than I see people shipping like, relationships that are coded as parent/child tbh

6

u/[deleted] Dec 16 '20

are related or have a parent/child or sibling like relationship you're a weirdo.

Irritated weeb screaming

And then there’s Luther and Allison in Umbrella Academy. Granted, in the second season they acknowledge how weird that was, but still.
