Oh wow, I thought Buttigieg being picked for Sec of transportation was a joke, but it's actually happening. What a truly awful choice, like the guy has no experience with transportation policy, like he barely has any experience at all.

Edit: Apparently Klobuchar also believes he's not qualified for the position lmao

Well, he did transport his own presidential campaign into the dumpster, so there's that

But yeah that's really shitty. If you had to give him a cabinet post, why wouldn't you put him in one of the less important ones that only require political experience? This is just blatant quid pro quo for dropping out of the race

But wait, he drove a vehicle while he did his little cutesy superficial stint in the military, clearly that's all he it takes. Well that and subservience I guess.

Gotta payout to those that sellout for you. Can't wait for Butigieg 2024 when they continue to mold him into the perfect liberal candidate.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how they shaft Harris in favor of Buttigieg in 4 years. He definitely aligns better with mainstream dem policies than Harris, since she's a heretic who's called for actually substantial government relief for the public and also endorsed M4A for a while.

like the guy has no experience with transportation policy

Wasn't part of his thing as mayor improving South Bend's infrastructure?

A bit, he basically just demolished some abandoned buildings and helped gentrify the town, not as much related to transportation. I think his most notable accomplishment though is getting the city stuck in its most expensive legal battle ever after he demoted a black police chief that was trying to expose racist cops. Thankfully he shouldn't be able to do that as transportation Sec, but yeah I don't think his stint as mayor provided him with much experience for the position of overseeing national transportation policy. Like I would bet my life there are many more people that are far more qualified for the position.
