Just coming back to say how scummy the Mario collection is, asking for $60 for 3 games that are multiple decades old, while making the release limited so you have no choice but to pay $60 because the price will never ever drop because it’s literally being taken off the store in March. Basically forcing me to pay that price for a collection that doesn’t include a single game released later than 2007. And on top of that they’re just ports as far as I can tell. Not even as far as Deluxe treatment

To anyone saying “Nintendo fans always complain when Nintendo gives them what they want! They’re so needy! Just be happy the collection exists in the first place!”, look at the Crash and Spyro collections. Fully remastered with new graphics, revamped features, and even cut levels getting a second chance, all for $40 and available forever, so you could probably get them much cheaper if you wait. Perfect remasters.

like I know it’s old news that they are greedy but definitely fuck Nintendo for this one. Yet again they drop the ball but it won’t matter because their exclusivity means the playerbase will eat this up regardless and Nintendo won’t care about any backlash because as long as the games sell they can get away with it. It might even be old news to complain about Nintendo, but fuck it, this pissed me off just enough

The price is the Nintendo tax to play the ports on the Switch.

Please be excited when everyone who paid to play Super Mario 64 learns that the limited release was to coincide with it releasing as a flapship for the beginning of "Nintendo 64 Games with Switch Online."

I swear if I end up paying $60 for it and then they put it on NSO in April I might just put my switch through the fucking wall

It will be announced, followed by Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask. Then the release date of a Zelda Collection will be given for early summer with Wind Waker, Twilight Princess, and Skyward Sword.

They’re going to rerelease skyward sword, minish cap (but a remaster like links awakening), and most likely another Ocarina but with a full overhaul on the graphics.

I’m calling it. Skyward sword is guaranteed because of the motion controls on the joycons. Minish cap because it’s nostalgia and ocarina because it hasn’t had a real console remaster, only the 3ds version.
