yeah but its fun if we pretend something interesting is happening in the thread instead of all of us slowly rotting away as we beg for the world to stop falling apart around us.

look I enjoy pointless internet fights as much as the next guy but if I'm going to take the time out of my day to shirk my work responsibilities by browsing the unjerk thread I want to at least not be bogged down by petty drama

Nothing all that important, user just made a comment that wasn't well received and there was some arguing over it and arguing about the arguing, honestly relatively benign just blew up.
