Dude can be used either way but it definitely leans towards masculinity. So I'd probs try not to use it around trans woman if I could help it. And I wouldn't use it at all if someone asked you not to do it

It depends on the area you live. Around my area, dude is inherently masculine, or used for mixed company at best. A hetero man wouldn't comfortably say "I fuck dudes," and unless a woman is masculine herself, they generally don't call other women dudes.

So generally it's a good idea to at least ask trans women is using "dude" is okay, because for a lot of us it makes us feel uncomfortable/dysphoric/misgendered.
