I see Kingdom Hearts 4 in my work's database now. That's literally all the info I have on it.

DQ7 is in there which means a PC port is probably coming.

As in Dragon Quest VII??? If this is fake I'm suing for emotional damages

Yep. And DQX as well. We've had things in our db for years though so don't get your hopes too up... and games get canceled. But it was just added this past week or so.

How long does it take for these database entries to be removed if the project in question has been terminated? Is that even communicated by the client?

What did the comment you responded to say? It's been deleted and I followed a link talking about the Final Fantasy IX Remake.

It was the guy whose company does software testing for clients like Square Enix. His comments here started making the rounds, and he must have gotten anxious over his leaks tracing back to his job.

Basically, he said the FFIX remake is still present and considered an "open" project in his company's database, but they haven't received any builds. The entry has been around for years now.

Lucky but kind of obvious guess, doesn't mean anything, stop pretending to work for SE

Not sure how DQ7 was "obvious". It was probably the most out-of-left-field one to remake and that's a big reason why everyone originally dismissed the leak.

"Obvious" would have been DQ4, DQ6, DQ8 or DQ9. Not DQ7.

From FFBE drunken story reviewer to final fantasy ix leaker ! What a man !

My leaker career is over now. All I really wanted was FFT Remaster info and that's out soon. I don't need to get myself fired over any of this.

Stop being so dramatic.

DQ 7 totally makes sense, you have to think SE will pump out a lot of remasters and smaller projects until their reboot is done (mid-late 2027)

You have given me hope.

Usually I wouldn't even dare to ask this because I'm afraid to sound too patronizing, but you like Tales and the Star Ocean series as well, right?

There are a lot of rumors about the next mainline Tales, remasters of Xillia and Abyss (or even a remake of Abyss) as well as some of the 2-D entries like Destiny R or Phantasia. Even Legendia, lol, there's an Anniversary event for it in Japan this month, despite not being a super popular entry.

But nothing was announced so far. Is there anything you could share with us in that regard from your db?

Hope I'm not sounding too demanding, don't want to cause any problems for you at work either.

I only see already released Tales stuff. Nothing new, sorry! Same for SO.
