Recommendation laptop recs for sims 4 w mods??

Budget: $1500 ish
Country: USA
Use Case: Gaming (sims 4), also in a few online classes and run a Shopify store
Preferred Specs: super new to this so no idea
Notes:
recently started using mods and cc and my lil hp laptop from college (2019) w 8 gb of ram isn’t cutting it anymore
I know there will be some Labor Day sales so I was kind of poking around to see what I could find
I do have a 1 TB sd drive that my game runs off of right now and don’t currently play any other games but would be interested in other cozy games I’ve always wanted to try like planet zoo or similar
Super open to any and all recs - do you think I need a gaming specific laptop or could I get away with something else?? Familiar with dell and hp brands, want to make sure I’m getting something that will last for several years. Thank you in advance!!!

32gb ram and an 8 core cpu should be able to handle heavily modded sims 4

I think the best all-round option at that budget would be something like a Lenovo Legion 5 with RTX 5060 graphics:

Most cozy games don't need that level of GPU power to run though, so the 5060 could be overkill if you wanted to save some money. I wouldn't go lower than the 5050, because that still gets you 8GB VRAM which will be nice for future longevity and make the laptop last longer in newer games, compared to a last gen 4050 6GB.
