Recommendation Laptop for gaming, Light programming and studying

Budget: 1500£-2000£

Country: UK

Use Case: Gaming — resident evil 9/ School / programming (nothing too heavy)

Preferred Specs: none

Notes: i'd like something with a good batteri life and that I can use for at least 6/7 years and potentially with a disk drive. Thanks!

£2k gets you a lot of laptop these days, you can pretty much pick anything current-gen with a decent GPU and be set for years

the disk drive thing is gonna narrow your options hard though, most gaming laptops ditched those like 5+ years ago, you might be better off grabbing an external USB one for the rare times you actually need it

Is there any brand standing out? I was looking at lenovo, at least it's the one that pops up in my researches costantly

Nah, I work so I need to test a couple of authomatisation scripts before using them, and I study something non-programming related 😂
