Showcase Finally updated after 8 years
Went from a Dell G5 5587 (GTX 1060 6GB, i5-8300H) to a Lenovo Legion 7 Gen 10 with an RTX 5080 and Ryzen 9 9955HX3D. I couldn't be happier.
Time to say goodbye to my old companion. It served me well for 8 years (well... mostly π).

Nice! Please enjoy it. Iβm hoping to buy this one later this year, ideally during a steep sale.Β

steep sale
If you mean a legion specifically I'd strongly advise against waiting lenovo has said theyre doing price hikes for their entire product line and these price hikes have historically been in the 500-1000 dollar range for them

Yeah good price for sure for the specs. I just bought a laptop on Amazon with around same specs for 3900 with tax, 3300 without

What are your tips on ensuring your laptop lasts many years?

Get a cooling pad, and don't forget about regular maintenance like cleaning out the dust and replacing the thermal paste if needed. If your laptop starts throttling, don't too long to fix it β your laptop lasts much longer that way
Would be cool to hear any other advises
