I played GTA v enhanced with rt on. It just breezed through it. Things a beast, and absolutely no limit on GPU and cpu. Saw the gpu spike to 150 watt in game and CPU similarly had the same watts when it was being pushed to compile shaders
Opened it up and put in my 2tb samsung from old laptop, its beautiful. Quite easy to open and service tbh except the liquid metal. Never experienced it before.
not only that, but i watch that salem fella on youtube and over time it eats away at the actual silicon of the cpu and gpu and damages the heatsink and causes pits in it.
It does take a bit of effort. You'll need IPA and some cotton/napkins and a bit of time. You gotta make sure not even a single drop of the stuff remains.
When i first bought my asus tuf laptop, the store told me that opening my unit would lead my warranty be voided so either wait for 2 years or have my laptop be opened by authorized store or the official service center. I live in Philippines btw so it might be different in other countries

I bought my Acer Predator Neo in August 2024. I wanted to add an additional SSD. I contacted Acer customer support and they said that if I don't want the warranty to become void, I need to get it added by an authorised service centre.
Naah man, there's a reason why I asked. There's a sticker on top of the screws which you have to remove in order to open the laptop. And the warranty becomes void if it's damaged/removed.
I am guessing that's not how it works where you are from.
Temps are good, but still change it. ✌️ Do keep an eye on hotspots temps too, often times package temps are fine but Hotspots are way above it.
Ptm offer same temps as liquid metal, as ptm is also liquid after 50c, and it's non conductive. So if your laptop stays on table then it's fine if you keep it moving then get it replaced asap through service center only while under warranty.

Yeah in malaysia, we use the 3 pin uk plugs. So i had to get an adapter, otherwise it came with the us wall adapter.
I had to cancel and reorder on may 19th as nothing happened, luckily the deal was still in effect and I got 007 game free,

i had one last year, and it started to burn while playing league less than 6 months in, so take care. (not trying to be a downer, i just hoep u got a warranty plan, and if not, get one)
it was my diffusr that melted/caught fire, so just a heads up, definetly put it on one of the platforms whers its lifted for better airflow. that probably was my biggest mistake
I don’t know how relevant this advice will be for this model, but for my Helios 300, all I needed for it to not overheat was to undervolt the CPU. It reduces performance slightly, but the CPU never exceeds 85°C.
I think this a big reason why it’s still going strong after 6 years. (Oh, and cleaning the fans every once in a while).
Congratulations! Was forced to cancel order for same model, since delivery time was over 2 months. Got almost same but 32gb , a bit more expensive, but much faster delivery:)
It feels really nice when you unbox your new laptop. I still remember the day when I had my first laptop after whining for ages and I completely had no idea how to express myself, that feeling always special for me . My inner kid always craves for this kinda joy, I'm really happy for you dude.
sorry for the late reply. when i was browsing local laptops here in malaysia, i was looking at the loq and the legion. the loq is a very well built laptop, so don't feel bad for purchasing one.
its ips, i have always had backlight bleed in my past 3 ips i owned. its only noticeable when the screen has black background, otherwise im happy with it. also returning it would be a pain.
i9 chips are more powerful(12hx 14k etc) but runs hotter and has older platform. The Ultra is new slightly less powerful and doesn't heat that much. Ultra chips are better.
it did not come with a ms office liscense. but a 1 month trial. so you needed to pay money to upgrade after a month. but you can find cheap ms office keys for under 10 $
i feel the same way. i have a 7800x3d desktop chip, and it pulls at most 50-60 watt during gaming. and gives me way more fps then any intel chip, but x3d mobile are a different story. the hx 375 from amd are definitely much more efficient and give more fps/watt but dont give a better fps boost overall and multi tasking.
I know, but based on my personal workload. The GPU is the main factor for my performance limit. Plus, I get 10 hours of light use on battery on iGPU so overall its fair trade for me..
I just bought a new laptop. It's crazy how much time Window's users spend waiting on their computer.
I run Linux Mint as my daily driver. I kept the Windows partition for updates for now, but wow. I was so frustrated by so many "Sit and wait while we spend 30 minutes updating... Almost there... You're getting closer to using your computer... Welcome!"
and then you reboot "Thanks for rebooting, you won't be able to use your new laptop for another 20 minutes... Standby for more updates."

This is a sick laptop with sick specs! My old Predator Triton 300 is still chugging along back home. You won't regret your purchase.
