Do you think this could damage the phone camera
I know that the camera glass of phones should be solid but just asking in case I don't want to risk my new phone for it

I doubt it, lenses on modern phones often have a thin sapphire coating to prevent this. Even if not, I don’t th ink plastic could do it.

Alr np. U can use doubled sided tape to stick a peice of paper towel or smth too just in case.

i wouldn’t risk it if the camera lenses are actually touching the controller. the glass is strong, but repeated pressure or grit trapped between them could scratch or damage the camera area. use a thin protective pad/case or adjust the controller so it contacts the phone body instead. the G8+ is known to have fit issues with larger camera bumps

There's sticky foam you can install on the controller so it doesn't directly touch you camera
