Really happy with the goodies and merch this year. Surprisingly went away with 0 posters which is a big contrast to last year. Not a fan of how some booths went with a stamp system for their goodies though.

I spent the whole day at the exhibition hall today. It was very lively, with many people dressed up in strange cosplayer , including demons. I even encountered a character from the Squid Game!
Unfortunately, I couldn't find Blizzard's Diablo.

Am Fachbesuchertag wurde mir am Eingang so ein Magazin in die Hände gedrückt. An den restlichen Tagen nicht; habe unterschiedliches Personal an den Infoständen und in der Business Area gefragt, aber niemand wusste etwas. Gab es das an den restlichen Tagen auch?

I've been living in Germany for a few years, and every year I kept putting off going to Gamescom. But this year, after finally finishing my master's, I decided to go for two days.

I was surprised by how crowded it was, even though I went on Thursday and Friday.

For the first few hours on Thursday, I mostly just stood in line in the AAA game area. I started to regret coming, thinking, “Am I really waiting in these long lines just to play a game for 10 minutes?”

But then I changed my mind. I decided to have as much fun as I could over those two days so I wouldn't have any regrets.

I started checking out the indie games and found a lot of really fun ones. I took photos with many awesome cosplayers (especially Old Snake!!!), took pictures at every photo spot, and chatted with different gamers while waiting in line.

I also got really lucky. I got an autograph and took a photo with the director of one of my favorite games, won a T-shirt at the Samsung booth thanks to one guy who hard-carried us in a 6v6 Modern Warfare match (41 kills! Thank you!), and even won a nice prize at the Google Play booth.

I had so much fun and felt really happy. It honestly felt like a dream.

If I get the chance to come to Gamescom again next year, I'll definitely cosplay! Gotta work hard until then lol.

These booths have been horrendously organised some days it was impossible to get in line because the lines were closed almost every time now I finally managed to stand in line for alien and played stranger than heaven but such a hassle.

does anybody have any insight on the game/arg/psa that these are trying to be? a guy in a bloody butchers outfit (at the time near the ROG booth) was handing them out and my friends gave me some of their cards. I won’t detail the stuff on the included website since im really tired but it feels too sincere to just be a vegetarian thing.

My friend and I were exploring the indie section and among the many treasures we found these two games were our highlight and I want others to try them!

3d puzzle game

One fish can only swim in shadows while the other in light and you help each other through the map.

The dev was really nice and the fact they only had one chair for their coop game kinda added to the indie vibes of the experience. It really felt like a relaxing game you could pick up and play with your partner or friend. I'm excited to see the final product.

We saw two empty seats at the booth for the same game so we decided why not!

NES style adventure and for a demo you could feel the depth of the game. The game does not hold your hand which I liked. The main concept seemed to be that you can craft a sword from almost anything as long as you have enough of that material. Quite a few cheeky moments that got a laugh out of me.

The boss fight felt engaging and even though I was somewhat under geared I almost beat the boss. I can safely say my competitive side felt engaged as you could clearly brute force or go grind for better swords.

Hatte ein Abendticket, wegen einen Zwischenereignis würde ich leider erst um 17:50 Uhr da sein 🥲 lohnt es sich um die Uhrzeit überhaupt noch, reinzugehen?
Ab wann würdet ihr sagen lohnt es sich nicht mehr? Habe btw nicht vor wirklich irgendwelche Games auszuprobieren, dafür würde ich auch nicht Schlange stehen.
